In a fit of blind rage, Ashton's fist swung out, colliding with Nick's face.

He hit Nick.

Nick looked stunned, and hurt. Not as much physically hurt as emotionally hurt.

Ashton's eyes widened. His lip quivered. Then he fell back down on the couch, face in his hands.

"I'm an awful person, I'm such an awful person. I just- I just hit you, I'm such a terrible person."

Nick immediately sat down next to him, all other thoughts fleeing his mind. He wrapped his arms around his sobbing boyfriend. "Ash, don't say that about yourself. It was a mistake, I get it. I made you angry. I'm sorry."

Ashton cried into his shoulder. "I'm such a terrible person."

"You're an amazing person, Ash. I just made you angry. It's not your fault."
