[This is the English translation of my novel: "Tôi, người bất tử". I am not a native speaker so I anticipate there will be mistakes in this translation despite my best efforts. Hopefully the story will still be understandable and I welcome any feedback to improve it. Many thanks!]
It was only after I was stabbed in the chest twice, had my skull pierced by an arrow once, and had my head split in two by an axe three more times - only to open my eyes and find myself still existing in this new world - that I realized I was just a lowly side character on the villain's side.
As I breathed a sigh of relief at not having to be the main character, I came to another realization, one that troubled me infinitely more.
I cannot die.
To rub more salt in my mental wounds, every time I so much as turn around, I run into Tadeusz. Why is he always the one to send me off to the great beyond? What do I owe him? How am I supposed to just be a background character in peace without running into him? Perhaps the answer lies in the damn long-running romance drama between the future great hero and his future lover - the very thing the universe is prying my eyes open and forcing me to watch.
I hope that answer will come when the hero's righteous light dispels the darkness. In a completely predictable way, just like in every other hero's story.
...
Pretty please!
