Part 27 With Arnav
Arnav was like, What the hell... Wasn't Durga deaf and dumb? Why did she obey Khushi's order? Was she also a police officer? And, a part of the mission?
Nandhini was shocked like anything. She couldn't believe that Durga was hearing and speaking. She never gave heed to her and talked about many issues with Natasha in her presence, thinking that she was deaf and dumb. Did she hear all of their talks? She felt a shiver running up her spine. How brilliantly they made her an idiot! She cursed herself for trusting Durga blindly. How careless she had been! But Durga never reacted to any sound before. She stayed still even if a vessel fell down. She had seen it once. Was she that trained?
"Could you speak? Aren't you deaf and dumb?" Arnav asked, but couldn't stop himself.
"Sorry, sir. I'm not deaf and dumb. I can even sing..." she said seriously, but it sounded sarcastic.
Khushi smiled, hearing that, because her voice was sweet.
Arnav observed one thing. Khushi didn't even look at him once. She was dealing with Nandhini and ordered Natash, but she didn't turn towards Arnav. He could not understand her stand. She should feel guilty for cheating on him, but she didn't seem so. She looked confidant. That irked him.
"How dare you point a gun at me!" Nandhini gritted her teeth, suppressing her fear.
"When a criminal like you dares to do illegal things, why won't a police officer like me dare? Don't you know police officers are trained in shooting? Do yoy want me to show you a trailer?" Durga asked with no fear.
"Durga, pass the gun..." Khushi said.
"Ma'am, you can leave as per our plan..." Durga said.
Arnav looked at them shockingly, as if to say, 'Plan?' What plan? He was horrified. Did they have a plan to leave the place, too? Would Khushi leave him? How could she?
"I can't leave you here alone, Durga. You too come with us..."
Arnav looked at her with confusion. US? Who else was there with her? Were there many? The same thought was raised in Nandhini and Natasha's minds also.
But there was no one else. It was Arnav whom Khushi wanted to take with her, but Arnav didn't think she included him, either. He had no reason to think in the way Khushi thought, right? He was already in shock... Lifetime shock. He could not come out until Khushi narrated to him everything.
"Madam, I don't think leaving them here and going is a wise decision. We struggled a lot for this chance. I can't miss this. Please, you go... I will manage." Durga pleaded.
"However, they can't escape, Durga. Our force will be here anytime..." Khushi said, looking at Nanadhi and Natasha, who were horrified.
Were the police approaching them? Nandhini's mind worked fast. She should act fast. Otherwise, her story would come to an end. She should hit any card to win this situation. To get that, she was ready to do anything. Ready to give anything. She decided to achieve that with money, the most powerful element in the world.
"Look, I will give you whatever you want. How much money do you want? I will give you piles of money. Take it. Live lavishly. let us go..." Nandhini bargained with Khushi.
Khushi smirked. After all, she was Nandhini! No wonder she bargained.
"You are forgetting your position again and again, Nandhu. You are not in a position to give anything to us."
"I can.. If you want it..."
"I don't want money... I had already taken what I wanted..." Khushi said.
Of course, it was about ARNAV, but Arnav was not in a condition to understand that. He thought she talked about the INFORMATION she collected about Nandhini.
"Ok, ok, then you give me... free me..."
"If I free you, you will kill people for your benefit. In fact, it's not in my hands. You are a wanted criminal. I have no right to decide what to do. Even though I have a right, I will not dare to free a woman in the form of a monster, who doesn't even know the meaning of mercy. "
"Ma'am, please stop talking to her. She is trying to divert you. We know what she is up to... please, leave, ma'am..." Durga pleaded.
Arnav didn't know why she was nervous, even after the situation was in their hands. He didn't notice Nandhini looking at a particular side again and again. Of course, there was nothing but a wall, but it was a wall for Outlook. But, Khushi and Durga knew what that was.
That was when Khushi's bangle lit up. She pressed it and answered, making them dumbfounded.
"Yes, uncle..."
"Did you finish our mission, Khushi?"
"Almost, uncle..."
"We are on the way... You can leave..."
"Yes, uncle... I'm hanging the call..."
That was when Khushi and Durga noticed the wall that Nandhini was looking at, moving.
"Ma'am... run..." Durga pushed Nandhini into the room.
Without wasting time, Khushi pushed Natasha inside the room and locked the door from the outside. Khushi rushed towards Arnav, who didn't understand anything.
"Arnav, come on..." She clutched his hand and ran towards the long balcony, followed by Durga.
Arnav didn't understand where she was taking him.
Yet, he ran with her as he didn't want to miss her. His eyes widened when he saw a few men with machine guns coming out of the wall like a door. He didn't know what Khushi was up to. He didn't know how she would escape from the men with machine guns.
Khushi came to the long balcony and looked at Arnav.
"Jump..." She said.
Arnav looked at her horrified, like, have you gone mad?
"What are you waiting for, Arnav? They will shoot us. Jump..."
She climbed on the wall and extended her hand towards him.
"I know you swim well. Come on. We have no chance other than this..."
Durga looked behind nervously.
"Ma'am they are aiming us..."
Clutching Arnav's collar, she pulled him up. He climbed on the wall and held her hand. In no time, they jumped into the Yamuna River.
Rishab looked at them awestruck. He knew about the Yamuna River. It was not easy to survive after jumping into the whirlpool-filled river. People who were skilled in swimming could only survive. He had no doubt Khushi and Durga would swim. After all, they were CBI officers. But what about Arnav? Could he swim in the Yamuna River? He was worried. What if sending happened to him?
Nandhini's men also didn't expect they would jump into the river. They shot in the river water, could do nothing other than that. They looked at the room as Nandhini bangfrom in the door. One of the men rushed to the room and opened the door.
Nandhini looked at her father who didn't intend to help her. She gritted her teeth. She knew it wa waste of time talking to him.
"Where are they? Did you shoot them?" Natasha asked.
"Sorry ma'am, they jumped into the river..." One of the men said.
"Whaaaat?" They said in the same tone.
"Yes, ma'am... They escaped..."
Nandhini smirked. She knew it was not easy to escape from the river Yamuna. Though the police women might survive but not Arnav. That thought calmed her dirty ego. She wanted one of them to die at least.
But, she didn't know Arnav's swimming skills. The second he jumped into the river, he made sure he didn't leave Khushi's hand. They stepped ashore with joined hands.
