Part 3: Finding A Girl

Arnav glared at Aman, who bowed down.

"Do you know what's meant by a life partner?" Arnav asked.

Aman fell silent because he knew what a life partner meant.

"Life partner means a friend with small fights. It's ecstatic to get patched up after the fights. We will take care of each other if one of us gets hurt or falls ill. We would have love, affection, and more than that, possessiveness. How will I get all these things from a random girl?"

"I can understand, ASR..."

Cutting him off,

"No... You can't understand. If Nandhini had not entered my life, I would have been happy with someone to my taste. Not that we would not have had conflicts. We might have had... yet; we would have lived together trying to understand one another. That's love..."

Aman stood, not understanding what to say. Arnav had an expectation of an ordinary man. He could not say it was wrong.

In the meanwhile,

Natasha was driving a car, and Nandhini was on the passenger seat. Her security guards were stationed on either side of her, riding bikes. Natasha glanced at her repeatedly.

"If you want to tell me anything, do it, instead of glancing at me..." Nandhini said, looking at the road.

"Why don't you just give a divorce to ASR and finish the issue?"

"What do you think? I'm dragging the issue because I love him?"

Natasdha was silent.

"You didn't see how girls ogled at him at the parties. I saw the girls looking at me with jealousy. Their sighs were so hot that they could even burn me alive..." She laughed.

Natasha was silently driving the car because she had witnessed that many times.

"Arnav is a handsome man I have ever seen. Being his wife is my pride. I can't give up on anything that shows me superiority. I should be the best...in everything."

"But someone is going to come into his life. You, yourself, are bringing another girl to him. She will be closer to him as his wife..."

Cutting her off,

"No... not as his wife... It's only me. The girl would satisfy his body's needs. That's all."

"She is going to give birth to his child. What if she claims the right? What if ASR falls for her?"

"He will... definitely he will. I know that. Didn't you see how sentimental he is? He isn't even ready to sleep with various girls."

"Then, he will get into the girl for sure... if not immediately, it will definitely happen later..."

"Only if she is alive..." Nandhini said with an evil grin.

"What do you mean?"

"She will be alive only until the child becomes one year old. After her demise, Arnav will not think of having another girl in his life and will live in the memories of the girl. Then he will concentrate on his child and raise him like him..." She laughed.

"What an idea!"

"Not only that..." Taking her phone, she dialled Aman.

Aman, who was standing in front of Arnav, struggling to answer him, saw Nandhini's call on his mobile. He looked at Arnav, gulping. Arnav snatched the phone and said,

"Don't tell her, I'm here. I will kill you if you tell her," he warned.

"ASR...please...give me the phone..."

Arnav swiped the green symbol and turned the speaker on. Aman closed his eyes.

"Aman..." Nandhini said.

Aman sighed and said,

"Yes, Ma'am?"

"Listen, find the girl for Arnav, exactly how I want..."

Aman saw Arnav shrinking his eyes. He suffocated to be in front of Arnav. He didn't know what Nandhini would say.

"Besides, she is a virgin; she should not be educated. Must be innocent. She should not question any of us. Should obey me without a word. Should not know how to use mobile phones. It's better if she is an orphan."

Aman hesitates to even look at Arnav.

"Ma'am, these kinds of girls lived in your grandmother's Period only," Aman said.

"Who said? There are villages in India that still don't have a power supply. Find a girl from such a place. We will get many girls if we throw money..."

"Will try, ma'am..."

Nandhini disconnected the call. Aman saw Arnav thinking deeply. Before Aman said anything, Arnav did.

"Find a girl exactly how Nandhini wants..."

Aman looked at him weirdly.

"I will wait... no urgent..." he smirked.

Aman was weary. He knew it was not easy to find a girl with such qualities. He expected Arnav to fight with Nandhini for that, but Arnav gave him a go-ahead signal. What the hell... from where would he find such a girl! Such a girl for even a marriage could not be found in this modern world. Nandhini wanted a girl to sleep with her husband. He tried to leave the job, but he could not. He knew all the business details of Nandhini. She would not allow him to resign from the job. Instead, she would kill him. He left the place all distraught.

Arnav smirked at him.

"Definitely, Aman could not find such a girl. If she was uneducated, innocent, and an orphan, she would love the man who was equal to her husband. Didn't she? Arnav thought. Yes, the life partner was not about fifty kilos of flesh but about heart, emotions, feelings and partnership. How could he accept her only with a sexual status? He could not see the girl as flesh. Let's see how Aman Mathur would find such a girl."

Aman didn't know how to find a girl. Nandhini wanted an orphan, but he couldn't approach any orphanage because they have many rules and regulations. Any girl from an orphanage would not be uneducated. He hired a few men to find such a girl.

...........

Arnav came to RM to meet his father. He saw a few more security guards guarding his house. He knew Nandhini arranged to keep his father in her clutch.

"Dad..."

In no time, Arvind saw him, and he hugged Arnav.

"I don't know if I can ask you if you are fine. It's unfair to raise such a question when I know you are not fine."

Arnav didn't know what to do other than tap his back. He broke the hug and signalled to him something.

"Let's go..." he took Arnav to the terrace and made sure that there was no one.

"Is anything serious?" Arvind asked in a feeble tone.

"Nandhini is finding a girl for me..." Arnav said, whispering.

"Girl? For?"

Arnav didn't answer but gaped at him sharply. Arvind rolled his eyes wearily.

"I'm sorry, Chotte... I had made a big mistake by bringing her into your life."

"No use in talking about it, Dad. I came here to alert you."

"Alert?"

"Yes... Nandhini's men are not just guarding you. They are imprisoning you here."

"What do you mean?"

"She is using you as her trump card. Using you, she controls me."

"Means, did you agree to her idea of bringing a girl into your life to save me?"

Arnav was silent. Arvind sat with a thud on the floor with teary eyes. Arnav sat next to him.

"Dad, there is no use in feeling bad. I want to tell you something. Just follow my instructions. Don't be careless and always be alert."

"Tell me your plan."

Arnav told him his plan.

"This is the time to act smart. We should not give her a chance to do what she wants."

"But, she will find a girl for sure..."

"I, too, want the same... I want to prick her eyes with her own finger."

"Could you?"

"Why not? I know it's hard but I will. I had been different so far... not any more. I know how to smack her down. I need your help. If you are in her clutch, I can do nothing."

"I will be ready..."

Arnav removed something from his pocket and gave it to him.

"Use this when the right time comes..."

Arvind nodded and kept it in his pocket.

"I'm leaving..."

"Take care..."

"You too..."

Arvind nodded.

They came downstairs, and Arvind sent Arnav off. Then he secured the item Arnav had given him.

A month later

Aman sat in his office, resting his chin on his hand, and rotated a paperweight with disappointment. He raised his eyelashes, looking at his junior, NK, who came with an invitation. NK extended the invitation towards Aman. Aman took it from him smilingly.

"Hi, are you ready to leave?"

"Yes, sir. My sister's wedding is in two days. I should be at my village."

"Mmm..."

"Why are you looking sad, sir?"

Aman sighed.

"What else? Nandhini is tangling my neck..."

"Sir, we knew very well we can't find a girl with such qualities in Mathura."

"I have assigned many guys to find a girl, but nothing worked," Aman said disappointedly.

"We know it's not easy to find a girl like that..."

"It has been a month since we started searching for a girl. I don't know how I will handle Nandhini..." Aman sighed.

"Will you come to my sister's wedding?"

"Of course... I will surely come..."

"Thank you, sir. We will meet in my village."

Aman nodded, and NK left. He wanted to go somewhere. He needed a change. He was weary of getting scolded by Nandhini.

NK's sister's wedding was fixed in his village. He thought to attend it for a mind change. So, he had already decided to go to his village.

Aman drove the car towards NK's village. The village looked undeveloped. He wondered. He knew NK studied at his uncle's house in Mathura. His uncle and aunty were not blessed with a child. So, they treated him as their child and provided him with education. Thank God, NK came out of the village, which was nothing but a few houses and wheat fields.

Aman was driving the car, lost in thought. That was when he saw a girl running like hell, looking behind again and again, crying. A man was chasing her. Aman stopped the car and held her hand. The man who chased her stood before him, his face furiously contorted.

To be continued...
