Part 5 Lie

The next morning

Arnav banged the door, which was locked from the outside. A servant opened it. He came out, swaying and pushed the servant. The servant stepped back.

"Why the hell did you lock the door?" He shouted, clutching his collar.

"I.. I didn't lock it." The servant said fearfully.

"You are here. Then who would lock it, if you didn't?"

"I don't know, sir."

"It must be she... I know. She would have done that. She is a demon... She would do anything. You too, be careful with her." He said in a warning tone, his voice barely audible.

The servant looked down as the demon was there, glaring at Arnav. Arnav saw her and left the servant's collar.

"See, talk of the devil and the devil is here..." He said, pushing him and came to Nandhini.

"Demon madam, where is the ITEM? When will you send her to me?" He leaned close to her, and she leaned back frowning, as he stinking.

"You know how desperate I'm...? I want to let out all my frustration on someone who is going to be your DUPLICATE. I will **** her thrice a day..." He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, flaring his nose.

Nandhini gulped hard.

"Let her come..." He laughed like a madman and pushed her hard.

He went to his room and fell on the bed. Nandhini slowly peeped in. He was mumbling the same thing that he told her. She sighed in annoyance.

She walked, taking her phone, dialling Aman. He attended the call.

"What the hell are you doing, man? It has been a month since you started searching for a girl... Can't you do the simple task?"

Aman became furious hearing that.

"Simple task? Really? You need a girl who should be an orphan, uneducated, innocent, and have zero technical knowledge. Where would I find such a girl? Such a girl could be found only in the nineteenth century, madam. Do you think I'm passing my time? Do you know how illegal this is? You are not searching for a surrogacy mother but a girl to sleep with your husband. I'm searching for a girl like a mad person, and you are shouting at me. If you think it's a simple task, please do it by yourself."

Nandhini knew very well that Aman was not wrong. She was frustrated due to Arnav's atrocity and let it out on Aman.

"I'm sorry... Arnav is doing an atrocity here. I don't know when he started drinking. He has become unmanageable these days. He is fusing me like hell. Just now, he did the same. That's why I lost my patience."

"Is ASR drunk?" Aman was shocked. The more he knew, Arnav never drank.

"Yes. I don't know how he got the habit."

"I just found a girl up to your expectations. I don't know how she stands him..."

"What? Did you find a girl up to my expectations?" Happiness sparked in her tone.

"Yes, madam. Her mother's brother tried to sell her. I bought her from him for ten lakhs."

"Money is not at all a problem. I'm ready to give him money, but I made sure he will not claim anything from us in the future. He will not know our whereabouts."

"Is she really up to my expectations?"

"Yes, madam. She has no one except for her uncle. We can shut him down by giving him money. She studied only fifth standard. She doesn't even know what a lawyer means."

"Is it?" She chuckled.

"Yes, her uncle made her work in a few houses to cover his drinking expenses. So he didn't send her to school."

"Oh..." Nandhini became thoughtful.

"You will see her when I bring her there."

"When will you bring her here?"

"I am going to start in an hour. The girl has no good clothes. I think she should look good when ASR sees her. I will buy her some decent dresses, and then I will take her directly there. Will be there in the evening."

"Okay, I will send you money. Settle the matter with her uncle and finalise the deal. Buy anything she needs."

"Ok, madam..."

"Listen..."

"Yeah..."

"Don't tell her the truth, why I want her."

"Mmm..."

"Thank you. Bring her."

"Ok, madam..."

Nandhini disconnected the call. She was relieved. Finally, Aman found a girl who met her expectations. From here on, she would get rid of Arnav's torture. She thought.

Evening

Aman brought Khushi to Nandhini's place. Khushi looked at the surroundings with awe-struck. It was a lonely, colossal bungalow, located on the banks of the Yamuna. The bungalow resembled a Peninsula covered by the Yamuna water on three sides. It had only one entrance, and that entrance was tightly secured. It made her scared. But the security guards allowed Aman's car inside the premises without question.

Through his room window, Arnav saw Aman's car entering the premises. He was supposed to close the curtain of the window, but his hand stopped, seeing a girl in the car. He was alerted. Would Aman find a girl? Was he bringing her? He knew Nandhini's expectations. It was not easy to fulfil her expectations. Then, how did Aman succeed in it? He tried to see the girl, but he couldn't. He slowly opened the door and came out of his room. When a servant crossed his room, he pretended to sway.

Arnav came to the staircase and stood at the curve, hiding himself. He looked downstairs. Aman walked with a bag in his hand. A girl followed Aman, looking here and there with a bewildered eye. Taking a few seconds, Arnav observed her. She indeed looked innocent and beautiful. Her face was flawless, and her eyes had no lies. She saw a Ganpati statue in the large hall. She joined her hands and prayed with a pout. The pout told him that she was asking something from God pleadingly. That brought a smile to his face. He saw Nandini coming with Natasha. Arnav hid behind a wall and listened to their conversation.

Nandini looked at Aman questioningly. He nodded yes.

"She is Khushi... I told you about her." Aman told Nandini and looked at Khushi.

"Khushi, she is Nandini madam. You will be with her husband only. She is the one who paid money to your uncle."

In no time, Khushi touched her feet. Nandini jerked, not understanding what had happened, and took a step back.

"Thank you so much, Didi... You have no idea what you have done for me. You are my God... You saved my life..." she cried emotionally, circling her legs.

Nandini looked at her, perplexed. Aman felt bad for Khushi, and Arnav rolled his eyes.

"Get up first," Nandini said.

Khushi stood up, wiping her cheek.

"Do you know what my uncle was supposed to do?" She sniffed.

"I know. Aman told me. Don't worry, I will take care of him. You will be stress-free here. You can ask me anything. Ok?"

"You are so lovely... I like you so much. I thought I had no one for myself, but God sent me to you."

Even Aman was irritated, so there was no need to say Arnav's condition.

"Don't think about your past. I am guaranteed. You will be happy here because you are my responsibility. You can ask me anything."

Khushi nodded ok.

"Do you like this dress?"

"I like this dress so much. Lawyer bhaiya got this for me." She said, smiling at Aman.

"She paid for this dress and other..." Aman said.

"Is it? Thank you so much. I don't know what I will give you in return." She said emotionally.

"Just be loyal to me. It's enough."

"I will even give my life for you, didi..."

"No... You are a nice girl, you should live long. Take care of my husband's needs. Make him happy. Give us a child..."

"Didi, you are so sweet. You want your husband to be happy. Then why don't you make him happy? Why do you want me to do that?" She asked innocently.

Aman tried to say something, but Nandini gestured for him to be quiet.

"I have a problem in my heart. I can't give birth to a child, nor can I make my husband happy. If I intimate with my husband, I will die. For that, I can't punish my husband. I want him to be happy all the time. That's why I brought you here." She lied with no regret.

Khushi started crying badly, hearing that.

"I have never seen such a pure soul like you. How great and generous you are...! I don't know why God is always examining good people." Closing her mouth with her saree Pallu, she cried.

Nandini smiled inwardly, seeing her innocence. Her slang and the way she talked told Nandhini how innocent she was. Aman felt bad for Khushi. When Nandhini asked him not to tell the truth to Khushi, he did not know Nandhini would play her card so smartly.

Arnav, who listened to the conversation, was annoyed. How brilliantly Nandini made the girl trust her! It was clear that the girl was so innocent. He thought something and went to them, swaying like a drunk man.

To be continued...
