Chapter 4
Everyone heard the scream from the 2nd floor, immediately go upstairs to see what's going on here. They entered the old woman's bedroom,she is still lying on the bed but the girl in the pink top is on her knees,seems panicked,the bowl of rice is lying on the ground,created a mess...
-"What happened?"-Ning asked calmly.
-"She...she said-"-The girl said,her voice trembling,pointing at the old woman.
-"Pfft, Hahahaha! I thought something terrible happened... Did you forget what the owner of this villa said? Her mother (the old woman) was paralyzed,not in a vegetable state,so she can still talk normally. I thought you were a skilled girl with that dirty tongue of yours yet you're still being scared the shit out by just an old and paralyzed woman."-Liu Feng laughs in amusement,his voice laced with confident and mockery towards the girl.
-"Liu Feng, you clean up the floor."-Ning said.
-"She created this mess on her own and you're telling me to clean up this mess of hers? Fine..."-Liu Feng asked in confusion but still decided to clean up the mess.
-"Stand up."-Ning said to the girl.
After Liu Feng cleaning up the mess,Ning steal a glance at the old woman for a moment before leaving.
-"Alright,Wang Hu (the girl in the pink top), you can talk now,what did she say?"-Ning said.
-"When I was feeding her with rice,she took a bite of meat and then...she vomitted..."-The girl said.
-"What?! Is my food that terrible?"-Liu Feng asked,his voice laced with irritation,he was always an excellent cook.
-"Liu Feng...Let her finish her sentence..."-Ning said to Liu Feng.
-"I thought the rice was hot so I try a spoonful of rice and it wasn't so hot,so I continued to feed her but she keep vomiting,then she looked at me and said softly,it was barely a whisper,that the meat was tasteless"-The girl said.
The rain outside seems to be heavier,Ning closed the curtains.He sighed,thinking about all things that have occurred.
He thought-"So,the letters weren't a joke...?"
-"God,the thunder scared the shit out of me!"-Liu Feng said.
-"Alright fine,it's a bit late now,we should go to bed soon, we have a lot of things to do in the next day morning...Have you guys choose your room?"-Ning said to everyone.
-"Do we really have to sleep in separate rooms?"-The girl in blue top asked.
-"We have checked all the rooms, they're wide and very clean,enough for two people to sleep in..."-The man in blue shirt said.
-"But there are 3 women"-The girl in blue top said.
-"The rooms aren't small,you all could sleep in the same room."-The man said.
The 3 women are speechless, it's obvious that no one wants to sleep in the same bedroom.Everyone went upstairs,Liu Feng and Ning went to the same room,two other guys went to the next room,two women chose the same room ,distance themselves from the old woman's bedroom.However,Wang Hu is still shocked about the things that have occurred,went to the last room, didn't even bother to turn off the lights.
Ning stepped out from the bathroom,just wearing a white trousers.
-"Wow dude,with this abs of yours, girls on the street would probably be fighting to have you! Am I right?"-Liu Feng admire his healthy,strong body for a young adult.
-"So...why did you keep following me?"-Ning asked sternly.
-"Ning,I know this may be embarrassing,I can't spit it out now...just wait until we survive and get out of this blood door,I'll tell you okay?"-Liu Feng said,his playful demeanor falters for a moment.
-"Wow,a secret..."-Ning replied,there is an obvious sarcasm in his tone.
-"Did you see any problems in that old woman?"-Liu Feng asked.
-"Not only the old woman but also this family and this villa..."-Ning replied.
-"What problem?"-Liu Feng asked in confusion.
-"The owner said that only her mother lives in this town,but I came across some villas,there are signs of civillians recently,about 1-2 months"-Ning explained.
Liu Feng thought for a moment-"If Ning was right,so where were they?"
-Besides,if there was just one person live in,they wouldn't buy a big villa like this...Almost every civillians here must have a family or friends,even when they went to work, the house can't be left completely empty.In fact, it seems that there is only us here"-Ning said.
-"W-What?! How?"-Liu Feng asked,looking out the window,not even a single house have a sign of light sources.
-"Something terrible happened here...I guess."-Ning said,closed the window.
The two sat on their beds, sensed a strange smell,it smell like something is decaying,they saw a strange liquid on the ceiling,dripping down the floor.
-"Holy sh-,what the hell is it?!"-Liu Feng asked in both confusion and nervousness.
-"Liu Feng,trust me, don't sleep tonight...Turn off the lights,if you hear anything,just forget it..."-Ning said.
-"Wait,you mean something will happen tonight?"-Liu Feng asked.
-"Yes"-Ning nodded.
Once the lights were turned off, the room was plunged into an eerie, silent darkness.Liu Feng lay in the bed, wanting to sleep but not daring to.After a few hours,he woke up by a strange sound.
-"Ning,...are you there?"-Liu Feng ask.
-"Don't talk!"-Ning whispers.
Liu Feng saw a something is moving outside the bedroom-"What the hell was that?! What if it enter the room? What would happen...?"-He thought.
The figure moves away,Ning slowly get up and walk closer to the door to check if it was still there.Liu Feng came closer.
-"What was that?"-Liu Feng asked anxiously.
-"I'm not sure,but I can assure you that wasn't human,it didn't make any sounds when moving"-Ning replied,his voice controlled.
