chapter 11
One month has passed since Bryan has been kidnapped, and he was doing better than when he was first taken.
His brothers weren't threatening him as much, and they removed the gag, they even stopped feeding him that horrible meat they made him eat. He still doesn't know what that meat was, but he didn't want to ask.
Today, Brandeen was with him, talking about random things and about the members of the Garden. Bryan, while he was no longer gagged, was silent as he listened to Brandeen talk.
Brandeen started to grow bored while talking and laid down on the floor before rolling to a random spot before he sprawled out. This, was unfortunately, going to cause a butterfly effect.
A few minutes later, Rian walked into the room-like area with a bottle filled with some sort of potion in his hands, only to trip over Brandeen and loose his grip on the potion. The potion landed on Bryan and spilled, before he glowed brightly.
When the glow died down, Rian and Brandeen were looking at him with wide eyes, Bryan looked at them and tilted his head.
''Why are you looking at me like that?'' The two didn't answer, cuaisng Bryan to huff and close his eyes before wrapping his wings around hi-
Wait...
Bryan's eyes snapped open and he looked at himself with shock. He had, not only grown dragon wings, but had also grown a fluffy tail, fluffy ears, and had shrunk.
He looked at his brothers in shock.
''What did you do to me?!?'' Rian opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off by Brandeen squealing, causing Bryan to pin his ears down and wince.
Brandeen was on top of him in a second, nuzzling him and fanboying about how cute he was. Bryan was trying to pull away and kept on telling Brandeen to put him down, yet the male ignored him, causing Bryan to begin growling.
Rian paled at this before speaking loud enough for Brandeen to hear.
''Brandeen, you might wanna put him down before-'' Rian and Brandeen both froze and looked towards Bryan, who's eyes were red and had his sharp teeth in Brandeen's arm.
''-that happens...'' Brandeen tried to pry Bryan off of him, while Rian sighed and walked closer before kneeling down next to the two.
Rian began to pet Bryan behind one of his wolf ears, which caused Bryan to freeze and his tail to start wagging before he let go of Brandeen's arm, his eyes turning back to brown. Brandeen pulled his arm away from Bryan as soon as he let go, and winced when he saw and felt the bite mark.
Rian stopped petting Bryan and grabbed Brandeen before pulling him away to a certain area of the cave before digging through some medical supplies. Brandeen watched Rian before asking.
''What was that potion?'' Rian sighed.
''It was a potion that makes someone half animal, but it also makes them aggressive if they get angry or upset, hence why he but you. He was upset that you weren't putting him down.'' Brandeen nodded as Rian walked back with some bandages before gently wrapping them around Brandeen's wound.
''I'm hoping you can fix it.'' Rian nodded.
''I can, I just need to collect a few more ingredients for the reverse potion, which are simple to get.'' Brandeen nodded while Rian looked at him.
''You're going to need to watch him while I'm gone.'' Brandeen blinked and whined.
''But why?'' Rian sighed.
''Because the longer he's under the effects of the potion, his brain will begin to become that of a puppy. He'll try and bite through the chain, lick the ground if he thinks there might be food, and stuff like that. He's going to need someone to watch him to make sure he doesn't get himself hurt or sick.'' Brandeen sighed before nodding.
''Fine...'' Rian smiled before grabbing a basket of dog toys, causing Brandeen to stare at him on confusion.
''What? I've always wanted a puppy or a dog, I figured I might as well keep some toys for if I ever end up adopting one.'' Brandeen just nodded and took the toy basket before walking towards where Bryan was.
When he got there, he saw that Bryan was gnawing on the chain. He frowned before reaching into the basket and pulling out a stuffed animal, giving it a soft squeeze only to find out it was a squeaky toy.
Bryan immediately froze and turned to Brandeen, staring at the squeaky toy in his hand. Brandeen smiled and tossed the squeaky toy to Bryan, who caught it with his mouth and began to chew it. Brandeen smiled before walking closer to Bryan and petting his head.
Bryan yipped and his tail began to wag as Brandeen continued to pet him. Eventually, Bryan grew bored and went back to chewing on the squeaky toy. Brandeen smiled before reaching into the basket and pulling out a rope.
Bryan looked at it before biting one end and pulling, while Brandeen pulled on the other. Bryan growled as he tried to win the game of tug-of-war. Brandeen chuckled and let the rope slip out of his grip, causing Bryan to yip happily.
Bryan yawned and stretched before walking over to Brandeen and curling up in his lap. Brandeen smiled and gently pet Bryan, who yawned before falling asleep. Brandeen smiled and continued petting Bryan, only looking up when Rian walked in, the potion in his hands.
Rian smiled softly before Brandeen set Bryan on the ground and backed away. Rian threw the potion, which broke and spilled on Bryan, before turning him back to normal.
Brandeen smiled and gently grabbed Bryan's sleeping self before he rested him against the wall, smiling and leaving with Rian when he finished collecting the dog toys.
