11 About ASR
Part 11 About ASR (Long update)
Sara composed herself.
"Mental...??? Still, you are ready to marry him? Why?" She asked shockingly.
Before Khushi answered her, Garima did.
"He raped khushi"
Khushi was about to say 'He didn't rape me' Sara said,
"Raped? How could a mental patient do that? It doesn't make sense because it needs sense"
"He didn't rape me. He just attacked me" Khushi said without hesitation.
"Who will think of impossibilities? No one will... According to the world, you are a rape victim." Garima advocated.
"So, you agreed to get Khushi married to him?" Sara asked with a horrified expression.
"Not for that reason aunty, Raizadas are ready to give her one core to get me married to him," Khushi said.
Now, Sara understood what made Garima make such a horrible decision. When it came to money, Garima would have forgotten all the ethics. She just needed money. For that, she would do anything without hesitating. She could even get her only daughter married to a mental.
Sara looked at Garima tightening her jaw.
"Have you gone mad? Do you know what risk are you taking?"
"I agreed to this wedding not only for money. Khushi will become a daughter-in-law of the Raizada clan. She will live lavishly that we can't even imagine" Garima gave reasons for her decision.
"What if ASR gets his sense back?" Sara asked.
"Then it will be better than anything," Garima said proudly.
Cutting her,
"Better my foot... He won't remember Khushi if he gets his sense back. He will forget everything that's happening now"
"However, she is his wife. Do you think I will leave him easily?" Garima asked with attitude.
"What will you do...? Haan...? You can do nothing because this marriage will not be legal because he is a mental disorder patient. You can't register for this wedding because, according to law, the marriage should happen with both the groom and bride's acceptance. It will be a mutual one between families. That's all"
Garima became speechless.
"Can't we register the wedding?" She asked.
"No... We can't..."
"So what? Can't we tell him what he did and make him understand?"
"What do you know about Arnav Singh Raizada? You know only about the senseless man. You have no idea about how he acts if he has sense. Now, I understand how he became mental. Do you know what happened to him?"
Garima gulped down whereas Khushi became alert as she knew nothing about Arnav.
"He became the king of the business world within a few years only by using his mind extraordinarily. He was called the God of ideas. The biggest shots of the business world were shaken to the core, after the gigantic growth of ASR. They understood that they can't beat him by fighting with him genuinely. Making a perfect sketch, they rounded him up. Just think, how wrathful they would have been that they didn't kill him even after having a chance to do that. They wanted to revenge on him this way. They wanted him to be SENSELESS. They wanted him to be useless. That's how they are getting satisfied. Arnav Singh Raizada is a power"
"Can't we file a case against Raizadas, if he doesn't accept Khushi?"
"You can do it as much as you want. But Arnav Singh Raizada will easily break the case in the first hearing itself. He doesn't even need his lawyer Mr Roy to do that. Just his junior will do that. Do you know who is Mr Roy?"
Garima was looking at Sara without saying anything.
"He is Bar Council President. He hardly appears in the court. But rushes behind ASR. Just think how powerful ASR would have been."
Khushi was silently listening to Sara but her eyes were reading Garima's changing expressions. It was not a new statement to her. Anjali already told her that Arnav won't remember her if he got his sense back. What was new to her was, whatever Sara told them about ASR. Was he that powerful? Was she going to be a wife of such a man? Then marrying him will be undoubtedly worth doing. So what if he didn't remember her? Won't it give her satisfaction if she became a cause of his recovery? And even Sara didn't know something about ASR... Correction, about Arnav. ASR would have been the toughest nut to his business rivals. But he had been a good brother to his sisters. Didn't Anjali say how grateful he was...!
"After knowing all this about ASR, what are you going to do?" Sara asked.
"What can we do now? We already conveyed our acceptance to Raizadas" Garima said stammering.
"So, you are not doing this to get a good life for Khushi. You are doing this only for yourself. Right?"
Garima was silent.
"What kind of mother you are?"
Cutting her,
"I know what I'm doing. So what if he forgets her? I can find a groom for my daughter. Bring a lawyer, don't you see how many divorce cases are there in the queue? You don't have to overreact to it."
Sara became wrathful.
"You..."
"Aunty..." Khushi clutched her hand.
Sara looked at her painfully.
"They named me SELFISH when I argued with them. They won't mind throwing a person away if it's about money. Leave it"
"How could I leave it?"
"You have to... We have no choice"
"I don't care what she wants. You tell me, you are a major. You can even put them behind the bars for forcing you to marry a mental. I will file a case if you say yes" Sara sneered.
Garima was shocked to the core as she knew Khushi was not interested in the marriage.
"No need Aunty. please do me one favour"
"What?"
"Get me legal papers..."
Cutting her,
"Your marriage can't be legal"
"I'm not talking about my marriage"
"Then?"
"I would like to break all the tie-ups with Guptas... Legally."
Garima gulped down hard whereas Sara was stunned. It was enough for her to understand how much Guptas would have hurt Khushi.
"They should not meet me after my marriage. They should not come to my In-laws for any reason even if I die. Most importantly, she or her son should not expect anything from me and my in-laws" she said strictly.
Garima felt insulted. She thought khushi was upset with her but she will be alright in a few days. But now, seeing her stubbornness, Garima understood that she will not forgive her anytime soon.
"But Khushi beta, what will you get by doing that?"
"After losing trust in the relationship, what's there to get aunty?"
"Look, Khushi... Don't think you have no one. I'm here for you. Come to my home"
"Thank you, aunty. I'm glad. At least someone wants to console me"
"You don't have to do this Khushi"
"Let me do it, aunty. They maynot be good mother brother but I'm a good daughter. I always wanted to give my mother a good life. It's my fate that's happening this way. Let them be happy... at least." She said painfully.
"You have to struggle a lot, Khushi. Your life will be tough like hell"
"It will be tougher if I don't leave this house, aunty. I can't be peaceful here after that"
Sara knew which means Khushi said that.
"It will be better to spend my life useful. I don't care even though HE forgets me. I will be satisfied to be the wife of the most talented person..."
"Illegal wife..." Sara hinted.
"It's my punishment for taking a birth of a heartless woman. Let it be..."
Sara sighed.
"Please get me the papers, aunty"
"I will get the papers," She said.
"And I want you to prepare one more document"
Sara looked at her and nodded yes. Neither Khushi said about the document nor did Sara ask her to about it.
"You are invited to my wedding"
"Being a lawyer, I should not attend an illegal wedding..."
Khushi tried to say something, but Sara stopped her.
"But, I will attend it for you. I will forget for a while that I'm a lawyer..." She said.
Khushi smiled.
RM
Anjali was sitting in front of the pandit who was there to fix the wedding date. Shyam who just entered RM stopped.
"There are three dates available in this month. One among them is very auspicious date. The day will come once in hundred years."
"Then fix the date..." Anjali said.
"But, the date is, this Friday..."
"So what? No problem. I will do arrangements" Anjali said cheerfully.
"Jee..."
"I will call you if I get doubts about the arrangements"
"Any time... Namaste"
The pandit left.
"Why are you adamant about ruining Khushi's life, Rani Sahiba?" Shyam asked.
"I think I don't have to answer the question for which you already knew the answer"
"This is..."
Anjali showed her palm and stopped him.
"Think, whatever... Think, I'm selfish... Let me do my work"
"But, Rani Sahiba..."
Again cutting him,
"What's your problem? You were even ready to bring a woman who does anything for money. Then why are you worrying a lot now?"
"It's because Khushi is not that kind..."
"Exactly... That's why I want Khushi to marry Chotte. I don't want a woman for Chotte to pleasure him. I want Chotte to get a woman for his lifetime"
She looked at Nani who was standing, listening to them. Taking her phone, Anjali dialled Gupta's landline. Khushi was the one who attended the call.
"This is Anjali Jha speaking"
"Khushi is here..."
"Khushi, I have fixed the marriage date" Anjali said hesitatingly.
"Oh..."
"Our Panditji said, coming Friday is an auspicious day..."
"Oh..."
"Hope you guys have no problem with the date"
"No..." Come from Khushi without hesitation. That made Anjali smile.
"Thank you, Khushi. Let me know if aunty is fine with the date"
"She will be happy"
"So, shall I start preparations?"
"Yeah..."
"Can I talk to aunty?"
"You can tell me about anything..."
"No... I just..."
"Do you want to talk about money?"
"I'm sorry Khushi... I..."
"One minute..."
She extended the receiver towards Garima.
"Namaste aunty..."
"Namaste beta..."
"Aunty, do you want money as cash or cheque?"
"Cash... Cash... I don't know to handle cheque and all."
"Ok, aunty. I will come to GH in the evening with money"
"Today, evening?" Garima asked excitedly.
"Yes, aunty"
"Ok, ok I will be at home. Waiting for you"
"Shall we fix the wedding on Friday?"
"Sure, sure, you can do it any time."
"Thank you, aunty..."
"Beta, one simple request..."
"Tell me, aunty"
"Don't talk anything about the amount in front of my son. Such a sybarite he is. Tell him you gave me only twenty lakhs" She said worriedly.
"Ok, aunty. Will come to GH in the evening"
"Thank you beta" Garima disconnected the call, grinning, ear to ear.
She saw Khushi looking at her, folding her hands, shrinking her eyes. Garima went to her room without reacting to her reaction.
To be continued...
