19 Arnav's Decision
Part 19 Arnav's Decision
Arnav and Aman were shocked to the core.
"Dhruv?" Arnav looked at Aman.
"What's all this, ASR?"
Arnav shook his head from left to right.
"Is it Dhruv who is behind this?"
Arnav didn't answer. He started connecting dots.
"Shashi uncle is in a coma stage. It was Dhruv who called Khushi and asked her to marry him in Shashi uncle's voice." He said.
"How did Shashi uncle fall into a coma? How is Dhruv related to this?"
"Somehow, he is related to everything related to Khushi, I suppose."
"If it is so, we can prove him now..."
"How? Do you think Dhruv will accept his guilt?" Arnav asked.
"We can use this man as a witness..."
"He will easily break it. He will turn the tables against me. He will say I'm trying to frame him, and he is my man."
Aman was disappointed because Arnav was right. Dhruv would definitely do that.
"What are you going to do, ASR? Khushi is already upset with you... I think Dhruv must have done something in that issue also."
"Not only that. I doubt, because of him, Khushi would have left India."
"Any guess?"
"Shashi uncle agreed to our marriage. Dhruv would have found out about it. He should have argued with Uncle Shashi, or he might have forced him to reconsider his decision. In that, Shashi uncle might have injured..."
"How would you make Khushi believe all this? We have no evidence to prove..."
"Yes, we can do nothing with this man. Dhruv will easily deny our accusation. Until Uncle Shashi recovers, we can't prove it."
"If we don't prove it, Dhruv will not be quiet. It seems he is keen to marry Khushi. If he gets to know we found out about Uncle Shashi's whereabouts, he will do anything."
Arnav fisted his fingers.
"If I get to know that Dhruv is the reason for Khushi to leave India, I will not leave him," Arnav said wrathfully.
"It's later... what now? What are you going to do? What will you tell Khushi when she sees Uncle Shashi? She may think you are the one who kidnapped him. Dhruv may accuse you..." Aman said.
"When did I say I'm going to take Shashi to Khushi?" Arnav said, and that made Aman perplexed.
"Aren't you going to take him to Khushi?"
Arnav nodded no.
"If I do that, it's equal to burying my own grave. We don't know when Uncle Shashi will get conscious. Then what's the point in taking him to Khushi? There is no use in doing that."
"Then, what will you do?"
"Go and bring my car." Arnav threw his car key to Aman.
Aman caught it and went to bring his car, without question. Arnav opened the main gate of the bungalow. Aman got the vehicle to the main entrance of the bungalow. Arnav tied the man's hands and legs. He brought him to the car and locked him in the dickey. Then he went to get Shashi to the vehicle.
"ASR, he is surviving with the help of medical support..."
"Mmm... I won't remove the medical support."
He brought him to the car, still wearing the saline bottle and oxygen mask, with the help of Aman. He made him lie on the back seat of the vehicle.
"Sit with Uncle Shashi and hold him."
Aman nodded ok and sat with Shashi in the back seat. Arnav started the car.
"If you are not going to take him to Khushi, then where are you taking him?"
"To our office..."
"Our office?"
"Mmm... That's the safest place to keep Uncle Shashi safe."
"Dhruv will find the location through the phone."
"I broke the phone and SIM," Arnav said casually.
"Whaaat?"
"Yes, Dhruv should not know who took Shashi and where."
"Aren't you going to ask him anything?"
"What do you want me to ask him? He has been behaving like a psycho in Uncle Shashi's matter. We can't get any justification from him. he should be handled differently."
"He may show his anger on Khushi. He may force her to marry him."
"Let him do it..."
"Whaaat?"
"Then only she will know who Dhruv is..."
"Are you serious?"
"I want her to know about Dhruv, but that doesn't mean I will let him do anything. I will finish his chapter forever, if he crosses his limits..." he said, changing the gear.
"ASR, please be careful. This is about Khushi."
"I know... this is the time to end everything. She played a lot with me and my emotions. Not anymore. She has to face me now..."
"ASR, why are you talking like a villain?"
"Think whatever, my action will not be smooth until I GET her."
"Get her? How will you get her?"
"By hook or by crook...I don't mind to become a villain." He stopped the car in front of his office.
Arnav gestured to Aman something. He got out of the car and went to the watchman. He removed money from his pocket and extended it to him.
"Go and bring two fried rice for us."
"Yes, sir..." He took money from Aman and rushed to the nearby restaurant.
Arnav waited for him to leave. He made sure no one was watching them. They took Shashi to Arnav's cabin. His cabin had a small room inside it. It was his resting room. Some days, he stayed in that room according to the workload. They brought Shashi to the room and settled him there.
"What about Dhruv's man? What are you going to do with him?"
"Take him to your house. Tie him up with an iron chain. Keep him safe."
Aman nodded ok.
"I'm thinking of treating Shashi uncle. I'm sure Dhruv would not have treated him properly."
"Yes, ASR, I recently read a news report that a doctor's team from Tanjore in Tamil Nadu cured a coma patient with a minute operation."
"Is it?"
"Yes, the patient had a slight blood leakage in her brain. The doctors operated on it, and she recovered."
"That's nice. Collect the details about the doctor's team. We will send Shashi uncle to Tamil Nadu for his treatment."
"Done..."
"You go home and secure the man. I will be here with Shashi uncle."
Aman nodded ok and left the office.
Arnav sat on the sofa in front of Shashi. What would have exactly happened to Shashi? What would be Khushi's reaction to this issue? Would she believe him? No, she would not. Such an adamant girl she was. He didn't know when she changed like that. Until she was his friend, she was a nice girl. Only after Anu entered their life did their life change upside down. Could his friendship with Anu be the reason for her to leave India? No, it could not be. Then, why did she leave India and HIM? If she had not left India, she would have been his wife, and they might have had a kid, too.
Was it right not to talk to her? Why should he not ask her the reason? Without knowing the cause, how could he find a solution to the problem? Expecting her to talk to him was a waste of time. What if she didn't do that? Would he be waiting until she spoke? No, he should not wait. He should talk to her to understand why she left him. Arnav decided to speak to Khushi not only to know why she had left him, but also to share his decision regarding her issue. She had to accept it, regardless of whether she was okay with that. He was firm in that.
To be continued...
