34 Angel
Part 34 Angel
People stood motionless, watching Arnav and Khushi with garlands around their necks. Arnav was holding Khushi's hand.
"What's this, Arnav?" Dadi asked with disappointment.
"We got married..." Came from Arnav as if they didn't know that.
"When did he listen to us? He always insults us..." Sanjana fumed.
"I would have listened to you if you had told me something justified..."
"What did I say that you felt was unjustified?"
"I can't postpone my wedding. I'm not ready to compromise in that matter."
"It's not a hurry to get married after she met with an accident..."
Cutting her off,
"Excuse me, chachi, it's an accident, but somebody tried to kidnap her. Know the difference."
"What's the difference?"
"Somebody intentionally did something to stop our wedding. I will not let it happen. That's why I married her today itself."
"That's also a bad sign... Why would somebody kidnap her when your marriage is fixed?"
"We can't be responsible for the act of someone...I saved Khushi from them. Why don't you take it as a good sign?"
"Arnav, what's the hurry? Is it necessary to get married hurriedly?" Dadi asked.
"According to me, yes, it's necessary because I love Khushi and I want to marry her."
"There is no use in talking to this boy who is all set to answer us," Sanaja said wearily.
"They are married. There is no use in talking about it anymore." Sudhakar said.
"He will not listen to any of us. What to do? If he is willing to face his karma, no one can change it. It's his destiny..." Sanjana said.
Dadi and Sudhakar didn't like what she said, either, after his marriage. They were intended to wish him and bless him, but she talked like she was cursing him. As no one expected,
"Stop it, aunty..." Khushi said.
Her face emitted disbelief.
"I can't believe this. Being an elder in this family, is this how you speak to us? Will you do the same if your son had been in Arnav's place? You are literally cursing us... I didn't expect this from you." Khushi said in disappointment.
Sudhakar looked at Sanjna, who turned her gaze.
Even Arnav didn't expect such an impact from Khushi. She surprised him.
"I meant, you guys may face a problem..." Sanjana said.
"We will face our problems. If you don't like our wedding, I will leave RM with my wife." Arnav said.
Sudhakar rushed to him and held his hand.
"What are you talking about, Arnav? We are disappointed with you, but that doesn't mean we want you to leave RM. This is your house too. Don't think of leaving RM ever. Please..."
"I, too, don't want to leave RM because I, too, have some emotions in this place."
"Leave it... Take Khushi to your room." Sudhakar said.
Arnav nodded and looked at Khushi. She headed to his room.
Sanjana waited for them to leave.
"Won't you ask him anything?"
"What do you want me to ask him?"
"You won't ask him anything and won't let me ask him anything either. This is why he is like this." She left the place murmuring.
..........
Arnav locked the door. Khushi removed her garland and kept it on the bed. Taking it, Arnav hung it in the stand fixed on the wall with his. That was when Khushi remembered Arnav was a CLEAN FREAK. She smirked because she got a point to irritate him. People who wanted their living place to be clean could not tolerate it being untidy.
"Listen..." She said.
Arnav looked at her.
"As you wanted, we got married... tell me about my father..."
"We got married...but you don't become my wife yet...I want you to be my wife in EVERY sense..."
She gritted her teeth. She removed the saree pin from her shoulder, as she was supposed to. Arnav held her hand.
"What are you doing?" he asked, looking at her sharply.
"You want me to become your wife, right?"
"So?"
"So, I'm ready to become your wife..."
"I think you didn't get it properly. I want you to be my wife in EVERY sense... I didn't talk about physical relationship..."
"Oh... don't you want a physical relationship with me?"
"Of course, I want... I don't want it to be unemotional... I want you to be full of emotions... not like a log..."
"It will never happen,"
"It will... very soon..."
"What do you think of me?"
"You will regret whatever you do,"
"Let's see..."
She started removing her jewellery and placed it on the dressing table. Arnav arranged them in a box, then went to the washroom to change.
Khushi went to her room to bring her stuff. Arnav came out of the washroom and didn't find Khushi in the room. He saw her coming with her bag.
"You can arrange your things in the closet," Arnav said.
Khushi took her dress from the bag and went to the washroom. Before she came out, Arnav arranged her things in the closet.
Khushi came out and saw him doing that.
"Do you have OCD?"
Arnav smiled and nodded no.
"I want everything to be neat and clean, but I don't have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder..."
"What will you do if I don't maintain cleanliness?" she asked with attitude.
"What can I do if you don't? I try to keep our room clean."
"You can't... I will throw the wet towel on the bed... will not put the dirty clothes in the laundry bag, I'm not used to keeping everything in its place..." she tried to make him fed up.
"No problem... be yourself... You don't have to change yourself just because you are married to me..." he said casually, shrugging his shoulders.
Khushi looked at him with disappointment. She thought she could make him regret marrying her.
That was when HP came there and knocked on their door. Arnav opened the door.
"Dadi called you for lunch," HP said.
Arnav nodded and looked at Khushi.
"Shall we?"
"Mmm... but I won't be quiet if anyone taunts me..." she said.
"Either me..." he said.
She nodded and headed out.
They came to the dining room and took seats. None of them spoke to anyone and silently ate. That was when Arnav got a call from Aman. He attended it.
"Han, Aman..."
"ASR, our company shares have risen unimaginably..."
"Is it?" he asked excitedly.
"Yes, ASR... you invested a huge amount in gold two years ago, remember?"
"Yeah, I do..."
"The gold rate rose by an unimaginable amount in a single day. It's almost doubled..."
Arnav ran his eyes over the people looking at him, trying to find the reason for his excitement.
"My wife is an angel..." Arnav intentionally said.
He was glad to receive such a good message in front of people who said their lives would not be easy, but that they would face problems.
Khushi looked at him, awestruck, hearing him addressing her as an ANGEL. She was embarrassed because all the eyes were on her.
"The time she stepped into my life, I gained an unbelievable profit in my business..." he said, smiling at Khushi, who raised her brows.
"You are right, ASR... congratulations..."
"Thanks..." he disconnected the call.
"I reached a new level in business. Thanks..." he kissed her forehead, without caring about the people around them, making Khushi dumbfounded.
To be continued...
