38 Revelation
Part 38 Revelation
Khushi was dumbstruck seeing Anu with a cute baby. She widened her eyes as she didn't expect Anu to visit RM. She looked at the baby in her arms. Whose baby was that? She was nervous.
"Hi, Khushi..." Anu smiled.
Khushi plastered a smile.
"How are you? Where were you? Do you know how much Arnav searched for you? He became mad, not finding you. He literally died..." Anu said with sadness.
Khushi gazed at her.
"Finally, you reached him. It's enough for me. That was my only prayer, you know..." she smiled pleasantly.
Khushi was speechless. Did she pray for her to reach Arnav? Was that really true? She could not believe it. She looked at the baby.
"Is the baby yours?" Khushi asked.
"Yes... I wanted to come to India long ago, but because of her, I could not come."
Khushi wanted to ask her 'Who is your husband?' but she controlled herself. Anu looked behind and called,
"Victor..."
Khushi peeped out and saw a handsome man talking to Dadi. He came to them smilingly.
"He is my husband," Anu said, and Khushi looked at him awestruck. Husband? That meant was what Arnav said about Anu true? She fisted her fingers to control her nervousness.
"Hi... I'm Victor. We are so grateful to Arnav. Because of him, we became husband and wife. If he had not been there for us, Anu's father would not have agreed to our wedding." Victor said smilingly.
"Yes, Khushi, my father was completely opposed to my marriage. So, I had poison..."
"Poison?" Khushi was shocked.
"Yes, I was also crazy in love. Arnav was angry with me like hell. He shouted at me like ever before. Then he promised me that he would get us married with my father's permission. As he promised, he spoke to my father and convinced him. My father has a huge respect for Arnav. He still believes Arnav would always be right. He likes Arnav's sincerity, hard-working nature, and lovable gestures. So, he agreed to our wedding because he believed that if Arnav was fine with our marriage, it would not go wrong." Anu smiled.
Khushi gulped down hard. How big Anu's father's trust in Arnav was! Arnav was his daughter's friend. Yet, he trusted Arnav. But she? She loved him like anything. He gave his best to their relationship. But, she doubted him.
Khushi looked at Anu, who held her hand.
"I can understand what you went through, Khushi. It's too hard to understand anyone without explanation. But Arnav was not at fault. He had a reason for not telling you about me. I'm his best friend. He didn't want to leak out about my poison-eating stunt to anyone. That was why he didn't tell you about me. But I came to your house with Arnav to meet you. We even met your father, but you were not at home. Do you know how helpless Arnav was that day? Please understand him, Khushi... he was so happy when he got your relationship because he thought he got someone for himself. He had no one other than you, Khushi..."
Tears rolled down Khushi's cheeks. She cried, closing her eyes.
"Khushi, please don't cry. I didn't intend to make you cry. I just want you to know the truth. Arnav was, is and will always be yours. There is no place for anyone in his heart. I'm his friend... or maybe, his sister... nothing more than that."
"Yes, Khushi. I have never seen such a flawless friendship in my life. Arnav and Anu are examples for the boy and girl friendship. They are awesome..." Victor said.
"I'm sorry, I misunderstood you..." Khushi choked.
"You are also not at fault, Khushi. What you had in your heart for Arnav is true love. The situation made you suspect him. He should have cleared it. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. You did that out of possessiveness. It's obvious to be possessive. Possessiveness is a kind of love."
Khushi became emotional. She hugged Anu and cried on her shoulders.
"I'm sorry, Anu. I would not have doubted Arnav if he had told me about you. I'm sorry..." she cried.
"Relax... you are back. It's enough. You love Arnav more than yourself. Arnav, too, knew that."
Khushi broke the hug and saw Dadi smiling at her. She rushed to Dadi and hugged her. Dadi caressed her back.
"Arnav loves you so much. Don't you know that?"
Khushi nodded yes.
"Don't cry. This is the time to be happy. Arnav will become happy if he knows this." She touched her cheek.
"Please don't tell him anything, Dadi."
"Why?"
Before Khushi said, Anu took the lead.
"She herself will tell him in her style. Am I right?"
Khushi nodded and took the baby from Anu.
"What's her name?"
"Santra..."
"Nice name... Actually, Arnav went to Agra. Doesn't Arnav know about your arrival? Didn't you inform him?" Khushi asked, caressing the baby's cheek.
"We want to surprise him..." Victor said.
"Yes, we thought he would be at home as he is a newlywed Groom," Anu said teasingly.
"Actually, it's an important conference. That's why he went even after Aman was ready to go on his behalf." Khushi said smilingly.
"It's ok... we will meet him tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? But why? Where are you going?"
"To meet my father. He wants to see my daughter. That's why."
"I see... will you come tomorrow?"
"Yeah,"
"Are you sure?"
"We will definitely come..."
Khushi nodded ok.
"Don't worry. I will not call Arnav. I will meet him tomorrow. So, you can take it forward in your style..."
"Thanks..."
Anu left RM with Victor. Khushi felt bad for doubting Arnav and leaving India that too for two years. She should not have done that. Instead, she should have talked to him. Why was she so stupid? Why didn't she consider him? Why the hell? She was annoyed with no one but herself.
What was she going to do now? How would she console him? Would he be consoled? What if he didn't? What if he got angry for not trusting him? She bit her nails, feeling sad. However, she had to console him. She had to do that by hook or by crook. She was the sole reason for every problem that occurred between her and Arnav. So, it was her responsibility. She started thinking about what to do.
Agra
Arnav was sitting in the conference, but his mind was not completely in the conference. His mind was stuck with Khushi. However, he managed to let her know the truth about Dhruv. He saw a slight change in her. She started thinking about everything caused by Dhruv, he supposed. Very soon, she would understand the truth and accept him as her husband, he believed.
It took four hours for the conference to get over. Arnav took leave from his fellow businessmen and left.
Arnav was driving back to Delhi to meet Khushi. He thought to buy her favourite sweets before going home, as that was the first time he had come out after their wedding.
His legs automatically pressed the brake when he saw a familiar man on the way. Stopping the car, Arnav rushed to the man who looked at Arnav. His lips automatically wore a smile, but the next second it vanished. He tried to leave the place, but Arnav blocked his way.
"Why are you running away? Can't you recognise me, RAMU KAKA?" Arnav asked.
He was the same man who worked in Gupta House.
