Part 39 Change
Seeing Ramu, Arnav's face lit up. He didn't expect he would meet Ramu. Of course, he searched for him two years ago when he went to GH to meet Khushi. When he found things being scattered in there, Ramu was the one he searched for. But, to his disappointment, he didn't find Ramu. But he strongly doubted that Ramu should have known something about Shashi and Khushi.
Arnav rushed to Ramu and stood in front of him, smiling delightedly. Ramu also smiled seeing him, but then, his facial expression changed, and he tried to leave the place. Arnav blocked Ramu's way.
"Why are you running away? Can't you identify who I am, Ramu Kaka?"
Ramu looked away, not meeting his eyes. Arnav thought something and intentionally asked,
"I am asking you only. Where is Shashi's uncle?"
The question brought a shocking expression to Ramu's face. Arnav noticed it.
"I'm asking you something."
"Please don't ask me anything, Arnav Baba"
"But why?"
"I don't want to get into any trouble."
"What do you mean by trouble? Why would you get into trouble? Do you know how tense Khushi is about her father?"
Ramus's facial expression brightened.
"Did you meet, Khushi baby? Where is she? How is she?"
"She's with me, we got married."
Arnav saw excitement on his face.
"Is it?" Ramu had happy tears.
"Thank God, she didn't marry that rough Dhruv."
"Dhruv? Why would she marry Dhruv?" Arnav understood that Ramu knew something about Dhruv.
"It's because he forced Shashi Baba to force Khushi's baby to marry him."
"How do you know that?"
"I was there when he attacked Shashi Baba"
"Whaaaat? Did you see him attacking Shashi's uncle?"
"Yes... he came to Gupta's house and forced Shashi Baba to get married to Khushi's baby."
"If it is so, why did he attack Uncle Shashi?"
"It's because Khushi baby declared cut and rightly that she would marry only you, no one other than you."
"Is it?" Arnav was delighted. Did Khushi do that?
"Yes, Shashi Baba told Dhruv the same, which infuriated him, so he attacked Shashi Baba and pushed him because he was not ready to force Khushi's baby"
"Why didn't you stop him?"
"He was like a beast. I was so scared. He would have killed me if I had appeared in front of him. That's why I ran away."
"Don't you know where Shashi uncle is?"
"Dhruv should have taken him with him, I suppose."
"What did Khushi do?"
"I didn't know where she went. I tried to contact her, but I couldn't. After that, her phone went off. Without a choice, I came to Agra..."
"Is it your native?"
Ramu nodded yes.
"Could you come to Delhi with me?"
"No, Arnav Baba..."
"But, why?"
"Dhruv would be there. He will kill me if he sees me because he knows I will tell you the truth."
"You don't need to worry about him because he is in jail."
"Jail? But why? What did he do?"
"The police arrested him for kidnapping Uncle Shashi."
"Did he?"
"Yes, he was keeping him in a bungalow for two years, and Shashi uncle was in a coma stage."
"Whaaat? Coma stage?"
"Yes... But no one knows where he is now. Dhruv hasn't accepted his guilt."
"I will tell the police what he did..."
"Will you?"
"Yes... Dhruv is under police custody. There is nothing to be feared of..."
"Thank you so much, but you don't have to come now."
"Why?"
"I want to proceed against you in the court directly. I want your presence to be secret because Dhruv will try to OFF you."
"But, I want to meet Khushi baby..."
"Soon, I will take you to her. I, too, want her to see you." Arnav said.
"I will be waiting. Give me your number."
Arnav told him his number. Ramu saved it on his phone and dialled Arnav's number. So, he could save it.
"Come to my house," Ramu said.
Arnav thought for a while and nodded. He didn't want to miss Ramu at any cost. He thought that knowing his house was important.
"Sit in the car."
Ramu sat in the car, and Arnav took him to his house. Arnav halted the car in front of a small house.
Ramu introduced him to his son and his daughter-in-law. They greeted him. Arnav had tea with them and left the place with a smile. Ramu's meeting was completely unexpected to him. Ramu was the biggest turning point in his story. Ramu would definitely bring a huge difference in his relationship with Khushi, but he didn't want to take him right away. He wanted to bring Ramu as a witness to the case that would surely wrap Dhruv's neck. He didn't want to miss the super chance to keep Dhruv in prison forever. He was not completely fine with going to Agra for the conference, leaving Khushi alone, but it was worth. He would have missed Ramu if he hadn't gone to Agra.
Every misunderstanding would be solved if Khushi met Ramu, and Arnav wanted it to happen, but the situation hadn't permitted him to do that. He felt bad about it. This was the best chance for him to sort out the problem between him and Khushi, but he couldn't do that. He sighed and geared the car towards Delhi, unaware of the truth that the situation in Delhi had already changed.
RM
Khushi was feeling bad about her hasty mind. She proved that 'the hasty man is deficient in senses.' She should not have decided before talking to Arnav. Her anger blinded her. She regretted it like hell.
That was when Arnav entered their room. Khushi stood up, looking at him. Arnav stopped for a second and walked. He put his coat on the recliner and loosened his tie. He saw Khushi gazing at him. He frowned, not understanding the reason for her look. He coughed as he felt his throat dry. As he didn't expect, Khushi took the water bottle hurriedly and gave it to him. Arnav was surprised. He stared at her, not taking the bottle from her. Khushi nodded her head, asking him to take the bottle. Arnav took it from her with an unbelievable expression and continued coughing. When he drank the water, Khushi caressed his back, giving him more surprise. He looked at her hand and kept the water bottle on the table, looking at her.
"I...I'm sorry..." She said, looking down.
Arnav kept his hands on his hips, frowning. What happened to her?
"Sorry? For?"
"I misunderstood you..."
Arnav raised his brows.
"Of course, you misunderstood me... but, how did you realise it suddenly?"
Khushi was silent. She hesitated to tell him about Anu's arrival.
"What happened, Khushi?"
"Oh... Anu came today..."
Arnav widened his eyes.
"Did Anu come?" he asked excitedly.
She nodded yes.
"So?"
"She told me what happened that day."
"Oh... but how did you believe her? You should have thought I would have trained her how to talk to you... Don't you?"
Khushi made a face. It was clearly a taunt. He was about to leave the place, but stopped feeling a tug in his wrist. He saw his hand in her clutch.
"I didn't think so... I don't think Anu was trained to lie..."
"Why?"
"Why mean what? Shouldn't I trust you?"
Arnav folded her hands, smiling.
"Would you trust me?"
"Look, I don't doubt Anu. if you ask me the reason, I don't have one."
"How do you trust her, Khushi? After all, she is my friend..."
Arnav took his phone and called Anu via WhatsApp. Anu attended it.
"Hi, Arnav..."
"Khushi said you come to RM..."
"Yes, she said you went to Agra... we will meet tomorrow. Reschedule your program. Give us your time."
"I have no program tomorrow. You can come to RM. I will wait." He disconnected the call and looked at Khushi.
He went to the cupboard and took his casuals. Khushi looked at him, pouting. Arnav headed to the washroom to change. She rushed to him and hugged him from behind, making him perplexed.
To be continued...
