42 What plan?
Part 42 What plan?
Arnav was shocked to hear about the fifty lakhs that the police found at the inspector's house. He disconnected the call and looked at Khushi.
"What happened, Arnie?"
"The police found fifty lakhs in the inspector's house," Arnav said, sitting on the bed.
"Whaaat? Fifty lakhs?" she was shocked.
"Yeah, Vishvesh bribed him to escape from the lackup."
"I can't believe it..." Khushi said, sitting next to him.
"But, it happened..." he shrugged his shoulders.
"How did you get the doubt, after hearing that they have my wedding certificate, Arnie?"
"At first, when I heard Vishvesh Sharma had the wedding certificate of yours and Nithesh Sharma's. I was shocked and furious, too. Then something hit me hard."
"What?" she asked curiously.
"They came to your house to take you with them. At that time, they didn't know the nature of the relationship we shared. They would not have expected us to get married because, even we had no plans for a wedding. So, when I hit them hard, they would have played the same wedding certificate card with me to escape from my hits. But they didn't do that. We handed them to the police, too. At least, they would have told the police about it if they really had one, but they didn't either. We went to the police station to file a case against them. That time, they also didn't say anything about it. That made me doubt them. Having already received advice from a lawyer and brought him into the case, I was able to discuss the details with him. I told him the possibilities and said it could be fake. And more than that, we registered our wedding. If you are Nithesh's wife, we couldn't register our wedding, and it showed an error, but we didn't encounter such a problem. So, it was clear that something would have happened in the police station. Our lawyer checked and found out that the bail was not issued to Vishvesh and Nithesh Sharma. Most probably, we are not summoned to the court before issuing the bail in which we are related."
"I can't believe people will do such things..."
"Everything is possible if you have money..."
"I do have money, but I never thought of doing such things."
"That's why you are hiding in fear, and Vishvesh Sharma, like a wrongdoer, is freely roaming around."
"My father never wanted his money to be used to encourage wrongdoings. That's why I don't want it to go to Vishvesh Sahrma's hand. He will never use money in a good way." Khushi guessed it right; who knew Vishvesh Sharma very well?
"What do you think? Would Vishvesh Sahrma be in Dehradun?" he asked, even though he guessed he would not.
"I don't think so. After bribing the inspector, he would not stay here. He would have gone back to Meerut."
"How are you so sure?"
"He would have some plans. He will try to succeed, but he could not do it if he stayed here."
"What do you want me to do?"
"I don't know." She lay on his lap.
Arnav caressed her hair smilingly.
She got up, jerking and said,
"What if they attack us again with full force?" Fear was evident in her face.
"I too think the same,"
"What are we going to do?"
"We will have to face them."
"Mmm..."
That was when they heard a sound of a calling bell. Khushi looked at Arnav questioningly.
"Check who is there before opening the door. Don't open the door if any strangers are there." Khushi warned.
"Don't worry. I will be cautious."
Khushi nodded ok, and he came out of the room. He slid the curtain and looked out. He smiled, seeing Bheem and Maria standing. He opened the door.
"Hi, Bheem, Hi, Maria..."
"Hello, sir...what we heard is true?"
"What did you hear?"
"Did Vishvesh claim Madam as his daughter-in-law?" Maria asked.
"How do you know?" he smiled.
"Madam told me when I called her."
"Oh... mmm... he did that." He closed the door again and locked it.
"Thank God, you registered your wedding." Bheem huffed in relief.
Khushi came out and smiled at them.
"It's good that you guys came here. I wanted to talk to you. If you had not come here, I would have called you." Arnav said.
"What's the matter, Arnie?" Khushi asked as she could not guess why he wanted to call them.
"We are going to leave Dehradun. I want you guys to accompany us. I wanted to talk to you about it. that's why I was supposed to call you."
"Are we going to leave Dehradun?" Khushi asked, wondered.
"Yes, we are going to leave Dehradun."
"But, where are we going, leaving Dehradun?"
"Where else? To Meerut indeed..."
"Whaaat? Meerut...?" The trio asked in the same shock.
"Yes, to Khushi's place..."
They looked at one another shockingly.
"Why are you guys shocked?"
"But..."
"It's Khushi's place. Someone not related to it is enjoying there, but the real heir is hesitating to go there..." he sighed.
"I'm hesitating because Vishvesh would have turned it to his advantage. Everything and everyone there would be his. Going there is no less than entering a lion's den." Khushi said as she had seen its condition before leaving it.
"Of course, it is a lion's den, but Vishvesh is not a lion," Arnav said the truth.
"He is a fox... more dangerous than a lion because he would not fight with us facing us off," Bheem said.
"Let him fight in any way... we will fight in our way."
"How are you so confident, Arnie?"
Arnav smiled.
"We are going to Meerut tomorrow. Get ready..." he said, and saw them looking at him like he was a ghost.
"If you don't want to come with us, no problem. I will manage, but we will surely go," he said, looking at Khushi.
"What say?"
She nodded yes, smiling awkwardly.
"We have no problem in accompanying you because we don't care about our lives but yours," Bheem said.
"Nothing will happen to us. Trust me. we will be safe." Arnav said confidently, which left them confused. How could Arnav be so hopeful? They were not sure, but they trusted Varanv.
They nodded.
"Go and get your things."
They agreed and left the place.
Khsuhvi gazed at him.
"whaaaat?"
She nodded no.
"You wanted me not to join a Bank coaching because you want me to settle down in Meerut. Right?"
She nodded yes.
"If you want us to be there, why should we waste time here?"
"But, you said my studies are important..."
"Who is going to drop out? You will surely continue your graduation. But, this is more important than anything. I can't let someone abduct your rights. We will finish it first. Ok?" he asked, cupping her cheek.
She nodded yes.
"But, Vishvesh Sharma, eliminated all the loyal servants from the palace. Now, his men are there. He has a huge manpower. How could we stand them?" She thought the logic.
"What do you think, Khushi? Am I going to fight with him like a movie hero?" he chuckled.
Khushi was dumbfounded.
"I fought with them when they tried to take you. It was necessary. It doesn't mean I will do the same all the time."
Khsuhvi was confused because Arnav talked like someone not interested in a fight.
"Then what will you do?"
"We will do anything relaxing. Now, let's go to the bedroom..."
Khsuhvi was dumbfounded. Was he really sleepy? Arnav saw her standing motionlessly. He rolled his eyes and came to her. In no time, he lifted her in his arms, making her thunderstruck. He walked to the bed and put her on it. Switching the main lights off, he turned the night light on. Covering themselves with the quilt, he looked at Khushi, who was staring at him.
He turned towards her and kissed her on her lip. She widened her eyes as she didn't expect it. He broke the kiss and looked at her, who was perplexed.
"Today's quota..." he said, wiping her lip, smilingly.
"Good night..." he lay.
Khushi was looking at him in the dim light. Arnav looked at her and gestured for her to come to him. She was still staring at him. He didn't expect her to obey his gesture and pulled her towards him. He made her lie on his chest and circled her in his arms.
"Are you scared?" he asked.
"I don't know what I'm feeling right now, Arnie..."
"Arnav is with you. Don't be scared. Nothing will happen to you. I will not let it happen."
"I'm not bothered about myself, Arnie. I'm bothered about you."
She looked at him and moved upwards. She caressed his hair adoringly and said,
"I want us to live long and enjoy our lives. I don't want anything. no palace, no money, nothing..."
"Khushi, you have a goal of satisfying your father's soul. You are going to light a lamp in many lives. Just think about it. Big achievements can't be made easily. We should have to struggle a little." He said, meeting her eyes.
She pressed her lips on his eyes and circled his head, keeping her cheek on his. Arnav smiled.
The next day
Khushi opened her eyes from sleep. She didn't find Arnav on the bed. She slowly rotated her eyes and saw Arnav packing their bags. She sat on the bed, jerking.
"What are you doing?" she asked in a croaky voice.
"Didn't we talk about going to Meerut? So, packing our things. Bheem and Maria will also be here at any time. You, too, get ready." He said while packing his things.
Khushi nodded and went to the bathroom to take a bath. She became confident, seeing Arnav's confidence. She was eager to know what he was up to. She trusted that he would have a plan to defeat Vishvesh.
She got ready and came to him. As Arnav said, Bheem and Maria were going to Meerut.
Khushi witnessed him talking on the phone continuously. She didn't know with whom he was talking.
"Let's have breakfast. I don't know if we can fetch anything on the way. So, eat well..."
They had breakfast. Maria washed the utensils quickly and came out.
They loaded their stuff in the car and Arnav took the driver's seat as usual. Khushi occupied the passenger seat. Maria and Bheem took the back seat.
Arnav gave a basket to Maria. She took it from him without question.
"This is an eatables bag. It will take three and a half hours to reach Meerut. Keep it. We will eat it on the way..." Arnav said.
He started the car and headed to Meerut. Arnav was continuously talking but the trio. They didn't talk but sat silently.
After three and a half hours, they reached Meerut. Arnav brought them to a three-star hotel and checked in.
Khushi was dumbfounded, seeing Arvind, Aman, Lavanya and a few more guys in the hotel. They hugged Arnav lovingly.
"Uncle, you?"
Arvind smiled.
"I thought you would be with your pilgrim team..."
"Yes, I was... but dropping my daughter-in-law off at her mayka is my important duty. That's why I came here, leaving everything behind." He said calmly.
"Khsuhvi, they are my friends... NK and Akash." Arnav introduced them to her.
"Namaste..." she greeted them.
"How are you, Khushi?" Lavanya hugged her.
"What are you doing here?"
"Before going abroad, we would like to meet you guys. So, we came..." she smiled.
Khushi smiled and turned around, hearing a noise. She was stunned to see her father's loyal servants marching towards them. She looked at Arnav, who was smirking at her. She was stunned. Was he invited here? Yes, he would have done that. because he didn't ask who they were, or he didn't get shocked seeing a small troop. Now, she started to understand his plan.
To be continued...
