[KAOJANE] TEN YEARS ENGVER

Begin Again

aeseulblife

[2019 – 2020]
Time passed quietly, as it always did.

Kao's world only grew more radiant — new films, new endorsements, new campaigns. The spotlight had never stopped following her.

And Jane, still watching from afar, could only admire her from a distance.

At night, after long hours of training, she would sit in her dorm room. The soft yellow light from her desk lamp washed over her face, still glistening with sweat. Whenever a new interview of Kao appeared online, Jane would stop whatever she was doing — reading every word, studying every photo as if they held secrets she needed to memorize.

"Today, she wore a sea-blue dress and smiled like early summer sunlight."
"This time she plays a strong, fearless woman... but to me, she's still as gentle as ever."

Little notes like those filled the pages of Jane's worn-out notebook.

It wasn't obsession. It wasn't delusion.
It was something tender and pure — the kind of quiet affection you feel when watching a star in the sky: distant, unreachable, yet never fading.

Then came the summer of 2020 — the year the world stood still. Productions were halted, concerts postponed, film sets shut down.

Jane stayed indoors most of the time. One evening, sitting by her window, she caught sight of Kao on a livestream — just a few short minutes, with Kao softly talking about cherishing time and the people who supported her.

There was such sincerity in her eyes, such calm warmth in her voice, that Jane could feel her heart beating faster — steady, deliberate, alive.

"You still shine," Jane thought, "even when the world slows down."

And with a faint smile, she whispered to herself,

"And I'm still here — watching over you."

[2021 – 2024]
The following years slowly shaped Jane into someone new.

At the beginning of 2021, the news of Kao and Tor's breakup came quietly — like a soft breeze brushing past Jane's life.

She didn't feel joy. Nor sadness.
Only something unspoken — something gentle and nameless.
Because she never wanted to see Kao in pain.

One chapter had closed. Another door had opened.

After a handful of small projects, Jane began to be noticed. Her first supporting role, then a minor lead in a mini-series. She wasn't a star yet, but she was learning — learning how to stand tall on her own effort, her own strength.

Then one afternoon in 2022, during an audition for a new film project, Jane saw the name Kao Supassara listed among the main cast.

For a moment, she froze.
Her heart skipped, but instead of trembling, she felt... calm.

"Maybe this time," she thought, "I'll get just a little closer."

When the results were announced, Jane was cast in a supporting role — not a major one, but one that would share several scenes with Kao.

At the first poster photoshoot, Kao appeared with long black hair and her familiar radiant smile. Jane stood a few steps away, watching her reflection in the makeup mirror.

"Hello, P'Kao," Jane greeted softly. "I'm Janeeyeh."

Kao turned, smiling warmly.
"Oh, I know you. You act pretty well. I'm glad we'll be working together."

A simple greeting — but to Jane, it felt like an entire sky unfolding.

She remained professional, careful not to let personal feelings surface. Yet, during the rare moments their eyes met on set, there was something gentle — something wordless — lingering in the air between them.

Kao was the star — composed, graceful, steady.
Jane was the newcomer — bright, sincere, unguarded.
Two orbits that were never meant to intersect... now brushed against each other like a passing breeze.

One night after a late shoot, as the crew began to disperse, Kao walked past and handed Jane a cold bottle of water.

"It's hot tonight. Here — have some. You did well."

That voice — soft, kind, familiar — made Jane's heart stutter. All she could do was nod.

That night, in her diary, she wrote:

"Tonight, she looked at me with eyes warmer than the studio lights."
