Parallel lines
[1822] 2017
The name Kao Supassara continued to shine brighter than ever.
From the billboards in the heart of Bangkok to the glowing LED screens at train stations — her face was everywhere.
Amid the bustling crowd, at a small bus stop, a girl came to a halt.
The blonde-haired girl looked quietly at Kao's advertisement poster.
It was Jane.
She smiled faintly, pulled a pen from her pocket, and wrote a small line beneath Kao's image:
"Wait for me, P'Kao. – Janeeyeh."
After writing, she quickly zipped up her backpack and ran toward the practice studio.
"Hey! You're ten minutes late already!" — Ciize shouted as soon as Jane stepped in, wrapping an arm playfully around her friend's shoulders.
"At this rate, when are you ever going to get closer to your crush, huh?"
Jane puffed her cheeks, trying to sound cute.
"I'm sorryyy! The bus was late, I swear!"
Both of them burst into laughter.
Jane was beautiful — a striking mix of charm and individuality. That was what quickly caught the attention of several entertainment agencies. Naturally, she chose to sign with the same company where Ciize was already training.
Their paths differed: Ciize's passion was music and stage performance, while Jane wanted to pursue acting. Yet both received thorough training in multiple fields — singing, dancing, acting, and on-camera expression.
For Jane, every training session wasn't just about honing her skills — it was a step closer to the person she cherished with all her heart.
"I just want to get closer... to her."

Jane devoted herself wholeheartedly to her training.
She practiced singing, dancing, acting — every day felt like climbing another small step toward her dream.
Then, the opportunity came. She was chosen to appear in the music video of a famous senior artist.
Backstage, after the final scene was wrapped, the director clapped his hands and shouted, "Good job!"
Tor — the male lead of the MV — walked over and said softly,
"Your acting was pretty impressive. Keep it up."
Jane could only smile shyly and bow in thanks.
When filming ended, the whole crew went out to celebrate. Laughter and chatter filled the table.
Someone from the team teased,
"Hey Tor, we heard you're seeing someone. Why haven't you shown her off yet?"
Curious, Jane looked up, her eyes wide and innocent.
"Really? You have a girlfriend, Tor?"
Tor smiled, not denying it.
"Not officially yet, Jane. But soon, I think. I'm planning to confess."
"OHHHHH~!" — The table erupted with playful cheers.
Jane laughed along, but deep down, a strange feeling stirred — something between curiosity and a quiet, fleeting sadness.
A few days later.
A beautiful sunny morning. No schedule. Jane finally had a day off after countless days of filming.
Sunlight slipped through the curtains, gently brushing her sleeping face.
Riiiiiing—
The phone rang, shattering the calm.
"Hello... it's my day off, why are you calling so early..." — Jane mumbled sleepily.
"Oh my god, you're still sleeping!? You haven't seen the news yet, have you!?" — Ciize's voice screamed from the other end.
"Ugh, what news? Just tell me already."
"Check online right now! Your dream girl... she's taken! It's all over the internet — P'Kao has a boyfriend!"
Jane shot upright, eyes wide open.
"What!?"
She hung up instantly and grabbed her phone.
A quick scroll through social media was enough — everywhere, headlines and photos of Kao Supassara dating filled the screen.
And what made Jane freeze completely was the name beside Kao's — Tor.
"I'll soon be starring in a music video with a new face. But of course, my girlfriend is my number one fan. She knows about it and fully supports me."
Tor's words to the press kept echoing in her head.
Jane sat there, motionless, sinking back onto her bed.
Everything suddenly felt heavy.
Sad — but not even sure how to be sad.
There was only a hollow space in her chest — a space where she'd kept feelings that had never been spoken, never even defined.
Because even now, after all this time since that fansign years ago...
She and Kao were still two parallel lines.
Jane followed her from afar,
while Kao... perhaps never even knew she existed.
