4 Uninvited Guest
Part 4 Uninvited Guest
Khushi's words about Arnav were echoing in Shashi's mind. He almost has forgotten that he is sitting at the cash counter of his sweet shop. He didn't know his daughter could have a positive attitude towards the very worst matter. He was dumbfounded, of course. Would any girl have forward-thinking about Arnav who killed his wife in anger? Shashi thought deeply.
Evening
Khushi was surfing something on her laptop, sitting on her bed. She smiled seeing Shashi knocking on her door.
"Babuji... you came so earlier today?"
"Yes, beta. where is Garima?"
"Today is Monday Babuji. She went to Shiv Mandhir."
"Yeah, I have forgotten."
"It's because you never had been this earlier to home."
"I would like to talk to you about something." He said while getting inside.
He sat beside her. Khushi looked at him with the eagerness that what he wanted to talk to her.
"Tell me Babuji..."
"Today morning we spoke about something."
"Yeah... We discussed about my decision of what to do further. I will join you next week."
Shashi nodded yes.
"We talked about something else too..."
"Arnav?"
"Yes... I'm so glad that you have a different view of this issue."
"Because it has a positive side too, Babuji."
"That's why I thought to talk to you about it."
"About what?"
"Would any of your friends marry Arnav?" Shashi asked observing her expression.
"My friends?" she questioned.
Shashi nodded yes.
"No way Babuji..." she smiled.
"But why?"
"Because they all are already committed..." She chuckled.
"Really?"
"Yeah... two of them are getting married in a month or two..."
"Ohh... I thought your friends will also be like you..."
Khushi smiled softly.
"By the way... when your friends have selected their partners, why didn't you? No one else proposed to you?"
Khushi laughed loudly.
"In three years, I got proposals from eighteen guys."
"Oh..." Shashi raised his eyebrows in amazement.
Khushi laughed seeing his expression.
"Didn't you like anyone?"
"I didn't have interest Babuji..."
"Why?"
"What do you mean WHY. I went to college to study Babuji. And, more than that, why do I bother about my partner when you are here to select him for me?"
Shashi was speechless. Does Khushi trust him to this extend? He was suffocating like hell. Shashi nodded yes and left, thinking something very deeply.
After a week
RM
Hearing calling bell sound, Ratna opened the door and got dumbfounded, seeing Sheetal standing at her doorstep.
"Namaste aunty." She greeted with joining hands.
"What do you want?" Ratna asked with disinterest not asking her to get in.
"I want to meet JEEJAJI..."
"Chotte would not like to meet you."
"Aunty please... let me see him once."
"Enough, Sheetal... we had experienced enough already because of your family..."
"What was my mistake aunty...?"
"It was not your mistake but ours... we should not have trusted your sister."
"I'm also not fine with what had happened..."
"I don't care whether you are fine or not..."
"But aunty, my father got a paralytic attack, hearing my sister's death. Don't you know that?"
"It can do nothing with our struggle... just leave."
"Let me meet him once..."
"Thank God, Chotte is not at home. Or else he would have been upset seeing you."
"But aunty..."
"I said leave..."
Ratna closed the door furiously.
The readers should have guessed who Sheetal is. She is Yasodha's sister. She tried to meet Arnav many times when he was in jail. But Arnav was not ready to meet her. He didn't even agree to meet his parents then how would he have met her?
Sheetal had never seen Ratna so angry as today. But she was not ready to give up. After Ratna sent her out, she came to the security guard.
"How are you?" she asked him as if she is a concern for him.
"I'm fine madam."
"It's four years we have seen..."
"Jee hann..."
"I just came to meet Arnav he is not at home. When will Arnav come back?"
"I don't know, Madam..."
"Don't you know his usual time?"
"He came according to the work stuff in the office."
"Oh...ok."
Sheetal wondered... Arnav started going to the office? She started the car and headed to AR.
AR
Arnav was going through a file. That's when the intercom rang.
"Yeah..." He said not taking his eyes from the file.
"Your sister-in-law is here to meet you, sir."
Arnav gulped hard, taking his eyes from the file.
"Don't you know no one can meet me without an appointment?"
"Yes, sir."
Arnav disconnected the call gritting his teeth.
"You need an appointment to meet ASR."
"I'm his sister in law..."
"But he is the one who asked for the appointment."
"Ok...when can I meet him? Give me an appointment."
"I have to ask ASR. Please wait."
She again dialed Arnav.
"Whaaaaat?"
"She is asking for your appointment, Sir."
"I'm not ready to meet her... ever...ask her to leave..."
He disconnected the call.
"Sorry Ma'am... he is not ready to meet you."
Sheetal looked at his cabin which was on the first floor. She left the place... no no... pretended like leaving the place. She hid behind the pillar and waited. As she expected, the receptionist went inside the office on some work. Using the chance, Sheetal rushed to Arnav's cabin and got inside pushing the door, without getting his permission.
Arnav's face became stiff, seeing her in his cabin.
"What the hell are you doing here?" he asked gritting his teeth.
"I want to talk to you..."
"Out..." He said with an unsympathetic expression.
"Arnav please, listen to me..."
Arnav swigged the uneasiness as she called him Arnav instead of JEEJAJI how she used to call him before. Arnav tried to leave the cabin. Sheetal blocked the way, standing before the door.
"You should not have killed her... instead, you would have divorced her. Then I would have married to you..."
"Shut upppppp" he howled.
"I want to marry you Arnav..."
Opening the door, He pushed her out.
"Don't you dare come in front of me again... I won't mind to kill you... get ouuuut..."
He closed the door and locked from inside. Taking a phone, he dialed Aman.
"I want that woman out of the office... noooow...or elseeee..."
He disconnected the call. Aman didn't know who he wanted to go out. He ran out of his cabin and saw Sheetal standing out of Arnav's cabin. He sighed, what the hell is she doing here? He hurried towards her.
"ASR wants you to go out..."
Sheetal took a step towards the exit fuming.
"Don't come again... I can't give assurance for your life than." He warned her.
"No one could stop me... he could send me out of the office but not from his life."
"He has already thrown you guys out of his life. That's why he doesn't want to see you."
"Let's see, how long he could avoid me..."
Throwing an angry glare, Sheetal left the office. Aman looked at Arnav through the glass wall. He sighed helplessly, seeing him punching the table wrathfully.
Aman removed his mobile and dialed while walking back to his cabin. Ratna received it on the other side.
"Haan, Aman beta..."
"Mom, Sheetal came to AR..."
"Oh God... she came there too?"
"Did she come to RM?"
"Haan, I sent her out...did she meet Chotte?"
"Yes..."
"Did Chotte talk to her?"
"Talked? He roared at her and pushed her out of his cabin."
"Why the hell is she behind him? Why not she let him be peaceful?"
"Her intention is something I suppose, Mom."
"Something?"
"I think she would like to marry ASR...."
"Whaaaat! Did she talk to Chotte about it?" She asked worriedly.
"I don't know Mom... but maybe...he looked like a wounded lion..."
"Hey, Devi Maiya, why are you giving him pain after pain?"
"Yes, Mom. He doesn't like to meet her it seems. Be careful... won't ask him anything when he comes home. To warn you only I called you."
"Ok beta. I won't ask him anything."
Ratna sat on the couch sadly.
