Amelia was going home after her shift had ended on a chilly winter evening, the sound of her favorite song blaring through her earphones. It was "Show Yourself" from the 2019 Disney film "Frozen II" by Idina Menzel and Evan Rachel Wood. The cold didn't bother her much, but something else was causing her to tremble with an unexplainable fear. She tried to shake off the feeling, but it only strengthened as she continued walking. She tried to conceal it, but things got worse after each step. Every inch of Amelia was trembling even more. She had experienced it before but couldn't quite place where or when. She tried to calm herself down, but the trembles only intensified.

"Every inch of me is trembling

But not from the cold

Something is familiar

Like a dream I can reach

But not quite hold."

Walking down the street, she noticed a familiar scent in the air. It was a perfume she had smelled but could not remember where. Amelia followed the scent, hoping it would lead her to the source of her trembling.

Eventually, she then stood in front of an old, abandoned building. The scent was coming from inside. She hesitated for a few seconds, but her curiosity got the best of her. Thus, she walked inside.

The inside of the building was dark and dusty. Although Amelia could barely see anything before her, she could feel something. It was a presence, a feeling that she could not quite describe. Her trembling amplified.

Suddenly, a light flickered on. A woman she had never seen before was standing in front of her. But something about her was familiar, like a dream she could reach but not quite hold. The woman smiled at Amelia, and the familiarity washed over her.

"Welcome," the woman said. "I've been waiting for you."

The woman led Amelia through the building, showing her around and talking to her about the history of the place. As they walked, the trembling began to subside. Amelia felt safe and at ease with this woman, who seemed to understand her in a way that no one else ever had.

Eventually, they came to a room filled with old photographs and trinkets. The woman picked up a photo and handed it to her.

"That's you," she said.

She looked at the photograph and realized that it was true. It was a picture of her as a little girl, standing in front of this building.

The woman explained that she had been waiting for Amelia because they shared a connection in a way she couldn't explain. She said she was attracted to the building and her because they had a shared history.

When Amelia left the building, the trembling had decreased. She felt a sense of peace and understanding that she had never experienced before. She realized that sometimes, the things that made us tremble were the things that could ultimately bring us the most comfort and healing. However, something was not right! After a few minutes, Amelia sensed something else while the song played on.

"I can sense you there

Like a friend I've always known

I'm arriving

And it feels like I am home."

Something lured Amelia to a strange road. Even though she had never been to this part of town before, something about the place made her feel at ease. It was as if she had been here many times before, even though she knew she hadn't. She could not shake off the feeling that someone was watching her. It wasn't a creepy feeling, but more like being looked after by a guardian angel.

Abruptly, Amelia heard a voice that seemed to come from within her mind. "I can sense you there," the voice said. "Like a friend, I've always known. I'm arriving, and it feels like I am home."

Amelia stopped in her tracks, trying to make clear what she had just heard. Was she losing her mind? Or was there someone or something communicating with her?

While she was standing there and lost in thought, a man approached her. "Hi there," the man said with a smile. "You look a little lost. Can I help you with anything?"

Amelia felt a wave of relief wash over her. It was just a friendly stranger, not some supernatural force trying to communicate with her. She smiled back at the man and said, "Actually, yes. I'm looking for a place to have a hot drink. Do you know where it is?"

The man nodded. "Sure do. It's just a couple of blocks down that way," he said, pointing in the direction Amelia needed to go. "You'll love it there. It's a real sanctuary in the middle of the town."

As Amelia made her way to the café, she couldn't help but think about the strange voice she had heard earlier. Was it just her imagination, or was there something more to it? She didn't know for sure, but one thing was certain: She was exactly where she needed to be.

"I have always been a fortress

Cold secrets deep inside

You have secrets too

But you don't have to hide."

Amelia, savoring her drink in the warmth and comfort of the cozy environment around her, now had the opportunity for some much-needed self-reflection. She had always been a fortress, unbreakable and sturdy. Amelia had built walls around her that no one could penetrate. And within these walls, she had kept her secrets hidden and buried deep inside where no one could ever find them. Yet she had always known she wasn't the only one with secrets. Everyone had secrets, too, buried just as deep as her. And despite the scare of revealing them, no one had to keep any intolerable secrets. She knew she could break down the walls she had built around herself and the barriers keeping her apart from the world. Everyone could find strength in each other and move forward, no longer burdened by the weight of our secrets, and so could Amelia. She suddenly smiled after acknowledging that, humming to the lyrics of "Show Yourself" and feeling related to it:

"Show yourself

I'm dying to meet you

Show yourself

It's your turn

Are you the one I've been looking for all of my life?!

Show yourself!

I'm ready to learn..."

She had always felt like something was missing in her life. Amelia had a good job, great friends, and a loving family, but there was still a void that she could not quite fill. She longed for something more, something that would make her feel complete.

Leaving the café, Amelia stumbled upon a flyer for a meditation retreat. It promised to help participants connect with their inner selves and find clarity and purpose. She felt an instant pull towards the retreat and decided to sign up.

On the first day of the retreat, Amelia sat in a circle with the other participants as the instructor led them in a guided meditation. As she closed her eyes and focused on her breath, she heard the familiar "Show Yourself" playing softly in the background.

As the song played, Amelia had an epiphany. She realized that the person she had been searching for all her life was herself. She had been so busy trying to please others to fit society's expectations that she had lost touch with who she was.

She opened her eyes, feeling a sense of clarity and purpose she had never experienced before. She knew that she had the power to shape her destiny and create a life that was true to herself.

The rest of the retreat was transformative for her. She spent hours in deep introspection, reflecting on her values and goals. She started making plans to align her life with them. When the retreat ended, Amelia felt like a new person.

When she stepped out of the retreat center, a soothing cool breeze gently caressed her face, bringing along the refreshing scent of nature in full bloom. The trees surrounding the center rustled softly, their leaves swaying in perfect harmony. A sense of tranquility and contentment slowly flowed through her, engulfing her in a warm embrace she had never experienced. Her lips curved into a serene smile as she stood there, basking in the serenity.

She used to feel different from everyone else and struggled to fit in with her peers. She spent much of her time lost in thought, wondering if there was a greater purpose to her life.

"I've never felt so certain

All my life I've been torn

But I'm here for a reason

Could it be the reason I was born?

I have always been so different

Normal rules did not apply

Is this the day

Are you the way

I finally find out why!!?"

While doing the meditation at home, Amelia's sense of purpose became less blurry. She knew she had to do something extraordinary but wasn't sure what that something was. Despite her uncertainty, she never gave up on her quest to find her true calling.

One day, Amelia had a chance encounter with a stranger on the street. The stranger looked at her with a knowing smile and said, "You've never felt so certain, have you?"

That one took Amelia aback. How did this stranger know what she was feeling? Before she could respond, the stranger continued, "All your life you've been torn, but you're here for a reason. Could it be the reason you were born?"

Amelia felt a chill run down her spine. It was as if the stranger was speaking directly to her soul using the lyrics from her favorite song. "I have always been so different," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "Normal rules did not apply."

The stranger nodded knowingly. "Is this the day? Can you be your way to find out why!?"

Amelia felt a surge of excitement. It was as if the stranger was expressing all the questions swirling around in her head for years. "Yes," she said firmly. "This is the day. And I am the way."

From that moment on, Amelia felt a renewed sense of purpose. She didn't know what the future held. Still, with a newfound determination, she set out to discover her true calling and make a difference in the world.

"Show yourself!

I'm no longer trembling!

Here I am

I've come so far!

You are the answer I've waited for all of my life!

Oh, show yourself

Let me see who you are..."

Amelia was overjoyed when she knew she had found her true calling. She had finally found the answer she had been seeking all her life, and it was herself from the beginning. She had shown herself, and she was no longer trembling.

A few days later, while Amelia was on her way home, she heard a familiar voice calling out to her. She couldn't quite place it at first, but as the voice grew louder, she realized it was the voice that had dragged her to the woman she had met last week in the abandoned building.

Without hesitation, Amelia changed directions and ran straight to the building. She could hear the woman's voice getting weaker as she approached, and her heart raced with worry. When she finally reached the entrance, she found the door locked. Yet Amelia wasn't about to give up. She had found her ambition and came out of her shell, and now, she wanted to help that woman do the same.

"Come to me now

Open your door

Don't make me wait

One moment more!

Oh, come to me now

Open your door

Don't make me wait

One moment more!"

She searched around until she found a loose brick and used it to break the lock. The door creaked open, and she rushed inside, calling for that woman. It took a few moments for her eyes to adjust to the darkness. Nevertheless, Amelia eventually saw the woman lying on the ground, barely conscious.

Amelia rushed to her side and checked her pulse. It was weak, but she was still alive. Amelia quickly called for an ambulance and stayed with the woman until it arrived. As they rushed her to the hospital, Amelia couldn't help but think about how lucky she was to have heard the woman's voice and been able to help her. She wasn't sure if it was magic or telepathy, but she was grateful for it.

Days passed, and Amelia visited the woman in the hospital whenever she had time. Finally, the woman regained consciousness and explained that while hiding from some mysterious shadows and creepy floating lights, she had been attacked and left for dead in the abandoned building. If it hadn't been for Amelia's quick thinking and bravery, she might not have survived. Amelia felt grateful to have been able to help someone in need, and she knew she would always be on the lookout for those who needed her help. Still, she felt uncertain because she couldn't explain their connection and how she could hear that voice.

"Was it a fairytale, or I missed something else?" She asked.

The woman replied, "Well, have you heard the story about a magical place?"

"Where is that place?"

The woman smiled, then told her about a mystical place where the Northwind met the sea, using a lullaby familiar to Amelia:

"Where the Northwind meets the sea

There's a river

Full of memory

Come my darling, homeward bound

I am found!"

Immediately, Amelia realized it was the story her great-aunt, who had been missing for years, used to tell when she was small. It was about a river filled with memories and a melody that could only be heard by those with pure hearts. As a child, Amelia often sat by the riverbank, gazing at the horizon, wondering what lay beyond. Years passed, and she grew up, but the stories never left her. She even decided to go on a journey to find that place, even though it didn't last long since she was just a teenager. But Amelia still dreamt about that river every night. In some of her dreams, she saw colorful water and fish swimming beneath. The sound of the river was like music to her ears. She felt a sense of peace she had never experienced before. Amelia then closed her eyes, and as she did, she felt a rush of memories flowing through her mind. They were parts of her childhood, her great-aunt, and all the people she had loved and lost. She felt a weird connection to the river, a place of memories, a place of peace, and a place where she belonged. Impulsively, her heart beat faster and woke her up. Amelia used to think those dreams were bizarre, but they made sense now. They were the clues she needed to find her missing great-aunt.

"Some of my weirdest dreams have been wandering in my head since my great-aunt disappeared. I tried to ignore them. But now I think they have been telling me something. They and that mystical voice guided me to my missing great-aunt, who I love so much. And you are that one, aren't you?" Amelia looked at the woman with sparks of hope in her eyes.

"I guess that was why we both heard that voice and shared an unexplainable connection. Am I welcomed to your home?" The woman smiled and stretched out her arms.

"How can I say no?" Amelia rushed to hug her, then continued, "I miss you so much, great-aunt!"

"I missed you too."

"Where have you been all these years?"

"It's a long story, sweetheart. I was lost while finding the river where the Northwind meets the sea. A mysterious melody seemed to erase my mind and steal my consciousness. When I woke up, I was in an unfamiliar place. There were so many fantastical creatures. I felt surprisingly relaxed and peaceful, though. I spent the next few years exploring that magical place before regaining my memories thanks to reaching that river again. Then, I managed to get back to the real world. To my surprise, the time in our world moves faster than that world's. I tried to contact our family, but no one was on the phone."

"We moved to a new town and changed our numbers. But why didn't you tell me when we first reunited in that old building? You had taken me to that place and taken a photo of me when I was small, right?"

"Yeah, that place used to be my favorite mall. I swear I had tried to find you before realizing I had missed too many things through all those lost years. I let my curiosity and irresponsibility take over my mind and depart myself from my family. I should have known that you all are the ones who deeply care about me, not those childish desires. I was so glad when I found out you were in this town. Yet I hesitated to reach you because I felt ashamed. How can I tell you I'm your missing great-aunt after years of losing touch? Besides, I don't know exactly where you are."

"But we still found each other. Wasn't it magical?"

"Yes! I think it was thanks to that mysterious voice. When I lost hope, I suddenly heard it, and it guided me here by making me tremble. It only stopped when I got to that building. You experienced the same, remember?"

"Yes. The tremble only decreased after I entered the building. It's so weird. But you should have told me the truth when you showed me that photo!"

"I'm so sorry, darling. I was too afraid to show myself."

"Confidence is a kind of power, don't you know? Every journey starts with a single step. You only need courage to be the one you have been looking for."

Amelia's great-aunt giggled, "It seems you have grown a lot. You are even more mature and self-reliant than me. But is it too late for me to become a newer and better version like you?"

"Only when you lose hope! Otherwise, you can do it with ease. If you are not ready, you can count on me. Together, we can show the world ourselves!"

"Thanks for your support, Amelia. After recovering, I will reunite with our family and chase my dream again. Would you like to join me?"

"As long as you can take me to that river without getting lost again."

"Haha! You got me!"

Amelia and her great-aunt shared a moment of pure joy as their laughter echoed through the room. The older woman then proceeded to divulge more information about that mystical river, a place of cherished memories that had shaped her into the person she had become. Before leaving the hospital, Amelia sang her favorite song with her great-aunt to motivate her:

"Show yourself!

Step into your power

Grow yourself into something new

You are the one you've been waiting for

All of my life

Oh, show yourself."
