76 Sorted out
Part 76 Sorted out
Arnav looked at David and said,
"She should not come out of prison"
David nodded.
"Arnav... you are a beast who didn't understand my love for you. I was ready to sleep with you, but you never minded it. What kind of man are you? You are a moron who picked pebble over a diamond"
"Diamond and you? Good joke. What do you know about my Khushi? She is unlike you, who could even sleep with the man to trap him in your web. She is a girl with principles."
"Principles... hua... bloody principle... I curse you for ignoring me, choosing her over me." She shouted like mad.
Arnav was about to say something, but stopped seeing her clutching her chest and falling.
Arnav looked at David, who was looking at her, horrified. Vidhula lost her senses. David rushed to the lock-up and opened its door. He tapped her cheek, but to no avail. He looked at the woman police officer who had followed him.
"Bring some water", he ordered.
The woman police ran to bring water. David stood nervously because a lock-up death would bring him trouble. But, as he didn't expect, Vidhula got up and removed the gun from his belt and tried to shoot Arnav. Before she did that, David made up his mind and held her and stopped her from shooting Arnav, but he could not snatch the gun from her as she was clutching it tightly. It was not easy for him to take it off. He fought with her to grab it. In that, the gun was triggered, and a bullet was released. It penetrated David's shoulder. That made the police station panic. David moved backwards, holding his shoulder. Without regret, Vidhula turned the gun towards Arnav.
"Shoot her..." David shouted.
In no time, a sub-inspector took his gun and shot Vidhula. When the bullet hit her chest, a bullet was released from the weapon she had in her hand. Arnav sat on the ground in the blink of an eye and escaped from the bullet.
Vidhula slid on the ground, her face dissatisfied. Khushi, who was sitting in the car, rushed to the station after hearing the bullet sound. She saw Vidhula in the pool of blood, and Arnav was tying a kerchief around David's wound. Arnav brought him to his car to take him to the hospital. Khushi rushed behind him.
"What happened, Arnav?"
"Vidhula shot him"
Khushi opened the door for them. David sat in the backseat, and Khushi sat next to Arnav, who drove the car off.
They admitted him to the hospital.
"How did Vidhula shoot him, Arnav?" Khushi asked.
Arnav narrated to her about the incident.
"Did she try to shoot you?"
Arnav nodded yes.
"I never knew she would be this cruel. She didn't want you to get me who she could not get"
Khushi was horrified.
"After all, she went to the extent of kidnapping me..."
Arnav nodded.
They saw the sub-inspector coming.
"Thank you for bringing AC, sir, to the hospital, " the SI said.
"It's my duty, sir"
"We will take care of him, sir. You can go home, sir"
"Thank you. Call me if you want anything," Arnav said.
"Thank you, sir"
Arnav left the hospital with Khushi.

Arnav returned home feeling stressed due to the happenstance. He forgot his stress when he saw Aashi sitting in the living room sadly. She rushed to him and hugged his legs when she looked at him. Arnav lifted her in his arms. Aashi kissed his cheek and hugged his neck. Arnav sensed it was emotional.
"What happened, baby?"
"I got to know about you", she said sadly.
Arnav was taken aback.
"What did you get to know about me?"
"My teacher said, fathers are hard workers. They are working hard and getting scolded in the office to earn money for their children"
"Oh..."
"Daddy, are you getting scolded in the office to earn for us?" she asked, holding his chin.
Arnav looked at Khushi, smiling. Before Arnav answered,
"Every father is getting scolded in the office..." she said.
"Daddy, I will be like a good girl and obey you..."
Arnav kissed her cheek lovingly.
"You are a good girl. I never complained about your behaviour. Then why are you feeling bad?"
"You work hard without rest... getting everything I asked for... poor you" She hugged his neck.
Arnav smiled.
"Daddy, are you tired?"
"No, beta..."
"Tell me if you are tired. I will press your legs"
Arnav rolled his eyes, smiling.
"No need, beta. I will be all right... ok?"
"Do you like to eat anything?" She asked.
"Why? Will you prepare it for me?" he asked teasingly.
"Han, I will prepare it for you."
Arnav raised his brows in amazement.
"I don't know what her teacher said, but she looks emotional. I think she washed their brains with washing powder," he chuckled. Khushi and Ratna laughed.
"I'm going to prepare pakore for my son", Ratna said.
"Dadi, shall I prepare it for Dad?"
"You and Pakore?" Ratna asked, surprised.
"Teach me... I will prepare it for Dad"
"It will be prepared with oil. It will be hot. A little girl like you should stay away from hot oil"
"I will do it, staying away from the oil"
Ratna sighed.
"Ok, come."
"Aashi beta, you can go to the kitchen only if you are ready to listen to Dadi. If not, don't go" Arnav said.
"I will listen to her"
"Ok... be careful"
"Mmm"
She went to the kitchen. Ratna prepared the dough for the pakora by cutting onions and chillies. Aashi peeled the onions, added salt, and poured water. She just did that, but according to her, she prepared it because it was the first time she had worked hard to prepare something.
Ratna heated the oil and started frying the Pakore. She checked the salt by tasting one.
"Dadi, it seems you will finish it before Dad comes. I made it for my dad. Keep some for him," she said, taking the plate in her hand. Ratna's expression was worth watching.
"I just checked if the salt is correct"
"It would be good because I added the salt and prepared it"
"YOU(stressing) prepared it?"
"Didn't I?"
"Yeah... you are the one..." She continued her work smilingly and heard a chuckle.
Ratna saw Arnav entering the kitchen.
"Come on, Chotte. Your daughter prepared it for you. She didn't even let me taste it"
Aashi extended the plate to Arnav.
Before Arnav took it, Aashi took one and fed it to Arnav.
"How is it?"
"Excellent and fantastic..."
"Ask me if you want anything", she said like a big girl.
"Sure..." Arnav smiled and kissed her cheek.
Arnav felt blissful as his daughter pampered him. Khushi came to the kitchen to see what they were doing.
"See what my daughter prepared for me"
"Your daughter?" Khushi took a water bottle, smiling, and drank it. She spat it, hearing Aashi.
"Haan, Mom, I prepared it and Dadi helped me"
She looked at Ratna, who laughed.
"Don't eat it, Khushi. She prepared it only for her Dad... not us".
Khushi raised her brows.
"Oi, don't I work hard for you?" Khushi asked.
"Mom, Dad is helping you. he drops you in the clinic and picks you up. HP's uncle helps in the kitchen for Dadi, but no one helps Dad. Poor he..." she pouted.
Arnav ate the pakore smilingly.
"What about Karan uncle? He works for your Dad in the office. Don't you know?" Khushi asked.
"Karan uncle does HIS work, not Dad's... am I right, Dad?"
"Yeah, you are always right. Karan does his work and gets paid for that", he said seriously.
Khushi and Ratna looked at each other sarcastically.
"Mom, when will you complete my homework?" Aashi asked.
Khushi looked at Arnav, who pressed his lips.
"I will do it today"
"Mom, I completed mine. Only your portion is remaining. We should paste a list of circle-shaped objects in a chart, which should be submitted tomorrow. Because of you, I'm going to get scolded." She complained.
"I will bring the charts from the nearby shop. Now, complete today's work. Go"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, sure"
Aashi went to her room.
"It seems the schools are providing homework not for children but for parents", Arnav said, teasingly.
"Exactly..." Khushi laughed.
Taking the pakore plate, they came to the living room. Arnav switched the TV on and saw the hot news. Ratna looked at them stunningly.
"Vidhula is dead", Ratna said, shockingly.
"We were there when she died", Khushi said.
"Is it? But why did the police arrest her?"
"She kidnapped Khushi"
"Whaaat? Kidnapped?"
"Yes, that's why police arrested her. She tried to shoot me. That's why the police shot her"
"I didn't expect she would be so aggressive," Ratna said.
"Either me..." Arnav said.
"It seems all the enemies who organised chaos against you are sorted out"
"Almost..."
"Thank God... everything will be all right from here on," Ratna said.
Arnav and Khushi looked at each other and smiled.
To be continued...
Note: The next chapter of the 'Organised Chaos' will be the last.
