33 Clear-cut declaration
Part 33 Clear-cut declaration (LONG UPDATE)
Khushi looked at Arnav dumbfounded. She could not believe this is not a dream. He just said she is her wife... he just acknowledged their wedding. She was overwhelmed even though he didn't do that to please her but in anger.
NK and Akash were also stunned. They looked at each other and smiled. But people around them were horrified and they started gossiping.
"Is it true Khushi?" Akash asked as if he doesn't know and was really shocked by the declaration of Arnav.
Khushi was silent as she hadn't come out of the sweet shock yet.
"Answer him, Khushi" Arnav shouted again, making her jerk.
That's when Aman came there.
"What's the problem?" he asked.
Khushi composed herself and looked at her surroundings. Arnav was glaring at Khushi as she was tight-lipped. Aman ran his eyes on his staff who were standing like a statue, having different expressions on their faces.
"What happened, ASR?" Aman asked.
"I just am discussing our personal matter with my WIFE..." Arnav said looking at Khushi.
Now, Aman became a statue. He didn't expect Arnav would declare his wedding this soon. What happened to Arnav all of a sudden that he acknowledged his wedding and why is he looking raged? He composed himself.
"Wife? Are you married? When did you marry?" Aman asked him with a fake shock.
Arnav walked to Khushi and circled her shoulders, making everyone's eyes wide, including Khushi's. Aman raised his brows.
"Khushi is my wife... Khushi Singh Raizada..." Arnav said with his head up.
"Whaaaat! Is Khushi your wife? When did you guys get married?" Aman arrowed questions.
"One and half months ago..."
"That means, even before Khushi joined here... But, why didn't you tell us before? Why did you hide the truth?" Aman asked.
"I didn't hide it. I just didn't declare it... that's all" Arnav said simply.
"But why?"
"It's our personal issue" Arnav shut Aman's mouth.
Aman was looking at him perplexed, like, what kind this man is?
"Khushi is your wife... she is working in your company... no one knows your relationship... you are telling, it's your personal issue... why are you like this, ASR?" Aman asked with a real disappointment.
"This is what I'm and you guys knew it" Arnav also told the truth.
Aman sighed nodding no and walked out of the place not waiting there because he knew he won't get an answer from Arnav. However, he was happy that Arnav came out of his shell.
Arnav looked at Khushi with a heating-up gaze. He removed Khushi's mangal sutra from his pant pocket. He held it in front of Khushi for a few seconds, running his eyes on people those are looking at them. Khushi was looking at him without blinking. He tied it on her neck, looking at her eyes. Khushi blinked her eyes slowly gulping down.
"You no need to hide it in your blouse anymore. Wear it openly and say you are my wife... understand? Mrs. Khushi Singh Raizada...?"
He left the place and Khushi sat on the seat controlling her smile. Arnav acknowledged their wedding... he said she was his wife... she knew the office got food for its thought. Many stories about their wedding were going to roam around the office for at least one week. Don't know when and how Arnav does things... was he doing everything in sense or in anger? She had no idea. She smiled closing her eyes delightfully.
Khushi saw her mobile ringing. The call was from Akash. She attended it.
"Hello, Akash..."
"I'm sorry Khushi. I would not have proposed to you if I had known you are Arnav's wife" Akash tried to mend things.
"I know, Akash, you don't have to feel bad. I know you are a good friend..."
"Thank you, Khushi. By the way, Congratulations..."
"Thank you"
"Do you want me to apologize to Arnav?"
"No, please don't do that... just leave it..."
"But, why didn't you tell anyone about who you are to him?"
"I just..." she stopped, didn't want to say anything about their personal matter to them.
Akash sighed.
"He is furious it seems," Akash said.
"Yes, he is..." she said with a soft smile.
"As a friend, you can ask me anything... please feel free"
"Sure" Disconnecting the call, she kept the phone on the table.
Khushi smiled at Lavanya and NK who was looking at her, standing at her cubicle.
"I'm sorry, I have hidden the truth from you guys..." Khushi said.
"You no need to be sorry... is he torturing you so much?" Lavanya asked.
Khushi nodded no.
"Don't jump to the conclusions, seeing his behavior. He is not bad..." Khushi smiled.
"What's the problem Khushi?" Lavanya asked.
Khushi folded her lip.
"If you are not comfortable then..."
"No, Lavanya, not like that... he was not interested in this marriage. His mother made him marry me by emotionally blackmailing. He was not ready to accept me at first. Now, he does"
"Why now? Did anything happen between you two?"
"I too don't know what happened to him"
"Didn't he say?"
"No, he didn't tell me the reason..."
Lavanya sighed.
"Shreya will surely get a heart attack if she gets to know the truth"
"She knows," Khushi said and Lavanya was shocked.
"Whaaaat? Did you tell her?"
"No... she found it"
"Really?"
Khushi nodded yes.
"That's why she changed her mind and said yes to the marriage...?"
"Mmm"
"By the way, we are here for you, Khushi... we will do anything for you," Lavanya said.
"Thank you, sweetheart... but no need... He will do anything for me" Khushi said.
"I can't believe Nannav can do this..." NK sighed.
Khushi smiled. He can do anything... she remembered his last night encounter.
"Khushi, could you do me a favor?" NK asked.
"Anything..."
"Our wedding will get fixed soon. I need a small rental flat for me and Lavanya"
"Oh, ok... but why are you asking me that? I'm new to Mumbai after all..." Khushi shrugged her shoulders.
"I know... do you know Videsh? He is working in the Designer section"
"Yeah... I know him" Khushi said.
"He is a house broker"
"Really?"
"Yes. it's his part-time job. I won't talk to him... could you ask him for a house?"
"Sure... why not?"
"Don't tell him that the house is for me"
"Ok... but why don't you talk to him?"
"It's an old enmity... he is a drunkard... he vomited on my bike one day and I fought with him. he got suspended for fifteen days from the office. Since then we are not talking with each other... " NK sighed.
"Oh... ok, I will talk to him and won't tell him that the house is for you"
"If I get a flat, I will shift from the mansion in which I'm staying presently," NK said.
Khushi nodded ok.
Lavanya and NK went to their respective cabins.
Khushi thought something. Taking her mobile, she searched for something in it. She found a saree in a business group that was run by her friend Preeto. She called Preeto and she attended it.
"Hi, Khushi, how are you?"
"Hi... I'm fine. I need a favor from you"
"Anything for you, Khushi"
"I have been selected a saree in your group and sent it to you personally. I want you to give it to my Amma."
"Ok, done. I will give it to Garima aunty. Hope she likes it" Preeto said.
"The saree is not for my Amma but for my mother-in-law. Today is her birthday"
"Oh... then I will give it to Garima aunty soon. Then only Garima aunty can give it to her"
"Exactly... that's what I wanted to say"
"Ok, Khushi... I'm going to your home"
"Thank you...I will Google pay you the amount"
"Thank you Khushi"
They disconnected the call.
Khushi called Garima. She attended the call.
"Hello, Khushi, how are you?"
"Doing good, Amma. I need a favor"
"Tell me"
"Today is Ratna aunt's birthday"
"Is it?"
"Yes. I have ordered a saree. Preeto will give it to you. Could you give it to her?"
"Sure... but I will tell her that the saree is my gift. What say?"
Khushi dropped her jaw.
"This is not done" she pouted.
Garima laughed.
"Ok, ok, don't make face... I will give to Ratnaji"
"Thank you, Amma" She kissed the phone.
Garima disconnected the phone smilingly.
Evening
Khushi saw Vidhesh crossing her cabin. She went to him.
"Vidhesh..." she called him.
"Hello, Madam... congratulations..."
"Thanks... I heard you are a house broker. I need a rental house..."
"Oh... budget, madam?"
"Twenty thousand... A small house with one bedroom is enough"
"Ok, then... I will tell you tomorrow"
"Thank you" she went to her cubicle.
Arnav who saw her talking to Vidhesh called him on his phone. Vidhesh attended Arnav's call.
"Yes, sir...?"
"What did Khushi say?" Arnav asked.
"She asked for a rental house, sir," Vidhesh told him the truth.
"Rental house?" Arnav gritted his teeth.
"Yes, sir... twenty thousand is the budget... she asked for a small house"
"For whom the house is?"
"I don't know, Sir..."
"Hold on... you can search for a house after I tell you... not before that"
"Ok, sir"
Arnav disconnected the call and Vidhesh sighed. It was 5:30 pm. Arnav looked at the clock. let her come home... he thought.
Taking his bag, Arnav came out of his cabin at 6'o clock. He didn't find Khushi in her cubicle. He rolled his eyes in irritation. He called NK.
"Where is Khushi?" he asked rigidly.
"She and Lavanya went to the temple," NK said.
"Which temple?"
"I don't know Nannav..."
"Didn't you ask them?"
"Why would I ask your wife when you are here?" NK countered.
"Would you ask her if I'm not here?" he asked intimidating.
"No... I just..."
Arnav dialed Khushi and she didn't answer his call as she was in the temple. That made him annoy more. However, she has to come home. Arnav started home.
Khushi came home at 7'o clock. The house was extremely silent. Arnav was not in the living room. His bag had been placed on the couch. So, he has come home already but his room was being locked. She didn't know why. Where is he?
"Thank God, he is not here. Before he comes, I should go to my room and should lock it from inside.... then I will never come out of the room... let's see, what the kadoos does..." She thought.
She opened her room door using the key and pushed the door wide. She was horrified, seeing Arnav sitting on HER bed, looking at her with a sharp gaze.
To be continued...
