55 Proposal
Part 55 Proposal
"I'm so happy you guys are here with my husband", Ratna said.
"Not only with your husband but also with his SON" They intentionally said that to see her expression.
But Ratna looked cool and said,
"He is my son also..."
The Murthy family looked at one another and understood Arvind had already told her everything.
"Yes, Ratna, he is a nice guy. He had done something that even your own son would not have done..." Sarojini said.
"Yes, Ratna, he went to the mountain, risking his life to bring you medicine. He is so generous," Savithri said.
Khushi was confused. Why did they flatter Arnav? Were they doing that with a genuine intention? No, there was no chance of it because they didn't like Arnav. Then why were they doing that?
"We are so happy to see you fit and fine, Ratna. You are our only sister. Do you know how broken we were when you lost your memory? Mama also collapsed. We could not see him in that condition. That's why we came here to be supportive of him"
"I'm glad to have brothers like you", Ratna said emotionally.
"Don't be emotional, Ratna. We are your people. Do you know how carefully Madhavi took care of you?" Savithri asked.
"Is it?" Ratna smiled at Madhavi, who smiled at her.
"Don't you know how much she likes you?"
Ratna touched Madhavi's shoulder lovingly.
"Yes, Ratna, Lalitha did her level best in caring for you", Sarojini said.
"Yes, Aunty. Mom told me a lot about you. I'm so impressed. You became my role model. I want to be like you..." Lalitha said.
"In what sense?" Ratna asked smilingly.
"Your guts... leadership... management everything..."
"I| don't know I inspired someone even though I was mad"
"Aunty, don't say like that. I don't like to hear such a word. You might have been mentally affected, but we always treated you like a Queen, only."
Ratna smiled proudly.
"We know your value, aunty. You are someone to be worshipped"
"Anna, it seems your daughter will make me sit and do Abishegam", Ratna laughed with pride.
"You deserve it, Ratna", Chandra Murthy said.
"Aunty, today, I'm going to cook for you, " said Madhavi.
Khushi frowned because Madhavi didn't know how to cook. Then how would she cook for Ratna? They were behaving oppositely to what they were. Khushi didn't take it seriously because she knew them. Showing themselves to be good to Ratna was not a big deal. They would have to do it because they lost the goodwill Arvind had in them.
"No dear... today, I will cook for all of you", Ratna said.
"No, no, aunty. Please give me the honour," Madhavi pleaded.
"You will cook tomorrow. I want to cook for my husband today."
"Then, I will help you in the kitchen... please don't deny"
"Of course, you can help me"
"I will also with you", Lalitha said.
"Sure, sure..."
"All of you have breakfast first. Then you can cook," Krishna Murthy said.
Madhavi and Lalitha served breakfast to Ratna.
"Enough... I don't think I can eat much," Ratna said.
"Aunty, to date, you haven't had anything willingly. At least now, don't hesitate. You are our strength. We will be happy only if you are well. Please, take care of yourself, Aunty," Madhavi said.
Ratna looked at her brothers and said,
"You brought your daughters up with respect. They knew how to take responsibility. I'm so proud of them," Ratna said with a proud smile.
"How won't we be irresponsible if you are our inspiration?" Lalitha scored from her side.
Ratna was suffocating in happiness. Her facial expression was evident.
After breakfast, Ratna went to the Kitchen, and everyone followed her, except for the Murthy brothers.
Khushi also followed them. She wanted to see what kind of help Madhavi and Lalitha would give Ratna, who didn't even know the names of the provision items.
As Khushi expected, Madhavi and Lalitha were suffocated to cope with Ratna. Their mothers helped them cleverly.
"Madhu, bring me pigeon pea for sambar", Ratna asked.
Madhavi gulped down, looking at her mother. She gestured for her to do something.
Madhavi went to the shelf and removed a box. She saw white grains in the box. She slightly tilted the box and showed it to her mother. Hurriedly, she nodded no, as it was a white split black gram. She kept it back, removed the next box, and showed it to her mother. She nodded yes. Madhavi sighed in relief and brought it to Ratna. She took the box.
"good... I'm so proud of you. Even though you are close relatives to the Royals, you know the necessary things. This must be appreciated. I like you guys," She tapped her cheek lovingly.
"Thank you so much, aunty", Madhavi smiled.
"I can't believe my brothers raised their daughters teaching fundamental things. I thought they were status freaks. But they are so simple. My respect for them increased"
Ratna looked at Khushi and smiled.
"Khushi, don't you help me?"
Before Khushi said anything or took a step ahead,
"Don't you know about her, Ratna? She never interferes in OUR family talks. She always kept her distance from our family, and after your illness, she started to stay within her limits. That's what her speciality is." Savithri said.
"It seems you gained goodwill in this family, Khushi. It feels good to hear flattery for you from Anni (Bhabi)," Ratna said, and Khushi smiled.
It was clear that they were excluding Khushi. They didn't even let her talk to Ratna. Not only that, they didn't degrade her but appreciated her. Khushi didn't know how to take it. she didn't understand one thing. They knew Arvind learned about them. Yet, she didn't know why they were playing such a drama. Whatever in their mind, it would have to come out. She decided to wait and watch.
In the meanwhile,
Arnav met Sathya Narayana.
"Hello, Arnav"
"Hello, uncle"
"Did you get to know who sent me the message?"
"Yeah, it's Krishna Murthy's handwriting"
"What did Arvind say?"
"What would he say? He felt bad for whatever happened."
"He could have kicked them out of the Palace"
"He would have don't that if Ratna madam had not gotten her memory back"
Sathya Narayana was struck.
"What did you say?"
"Yes, Ratna Madam got her memory back"
"How is she?"
"More majestic than expected..." Arnav smiled.
"Be careful Arnav. don't underestimate Murthy brothers. Before they create anything in her mind, tell her the truth about them and alert her"
"How could I do that? Dad should do that."
"Ask him to do that"
Arnav nodded.
"Leave everything and do it first. I will come to the Palace later"
Arnav nodded and left.
Madhavi and Lalitha successfully completed the helping in cooking mission with their mothers' help. Ratna cooked Arvind's favorite dishes.
Madhavi and Lalitha arranged the table. Ratna waited for Arvind and Arnav.
That was when Chandra Murthy came there.
"Anna, come and eat" Ratna called him.
"Let's Mama and Arnav come"
Ratna nodded.
"Ratna, I have an obligation"
"Tell me Anna"
"I want our relationship to be continued for the next generation too..."
"Of course, Anna..."
"I mean, the relationship should be authentic"
Khushi was horrified. She understood what he meant.
"Our relationship is indeed authentic one..."
"I don't want to beat around the bush. Let me come to the point. I would like to get my daughter married to your son Arnav" Chandra Murthy said, making Khushi shocked to the core.
To be continued...
