71 Again...
Part 71 Again...
Arnav was stunned. Seeing Kasi, the undertaker, in front of him. If Kasi was there, who talked to him a few minutes ago?
"Your highness, what are you doing here at this hour? Is anything wrong?" He asked politely.
Anrav nodded no.
"I just didn't get sleep. That's why I thought to take a walk."
"You are a Groom. You should not roam like this...if you don't get sleep, take a walk inside the palace."
Arnav nodded and was about to walk, but he stopped and called Kasi.
"One minute, Kasi"
"Yes, your highness?"
"Did my father promise you anything?"
"Promise?" he nodded, without thinking deeply.
"Do you have a house?"
"Yeah... I have. He showed the house that was a little away from the cemetery."
Arnav nodded and walked. He took a few steps and thought about something. He turned around and saw if he was really Kasi. He sighed, seeing him heading to his house.
He reached the palace thinking about the undertaker he had met in the cemetery. Was he Lord Shiva? Why did he meet him and talk about his house? Why did he say he would get new silk clothes on his wedding day? Did he discuss the new temple that Arvind was planning to build? He thought about him, and afterwards, he drifted into sleep.
The next morning
Arvind came out of the room, getting fresh, and frowned, seeing Arnav waiting for him.
"Arnav? You here?"
"I want to talk to you, Appa"
"Yeah, tell me..."
"Yesterday, I met someone in Kasi's form, but he was not Kasi."
"Again?"
Arnav nodded.
"What did he say? Where did you meet him?"
"Near the cemetery."
Cutting him off,
"Near the cemetery? Why did you go to the cemetery at that hour?"
"I didn't get sleep..."
"Arnav, you are a Groom now. You should not roam like that."
Arnav rolled his eyes. How many times would he hear that? he smiled.
"I will not go out from here on. I didn't go there, not just because I didn't get sleep. I saw a flame in the cemetery. I thought I would meet our Siddha there again. But he was not there; it was Kasi. I inquired with him why he burned something at this hour. He said he didn't have time to do that in the daytime."
"Then?"
"He was happy that he would get a NEW SILK cloth on my wedding day."
Arvind raised his brows.
"Did he say that?"
"Mmm... he said your father would get me new silk clothes on your wedding day..."
Arvind smiled.
"What did you get?"
"We will buy new silk clothes for the Shiva Linga and arrange for a grand Pooja on your wedding day."
Arnav nodded, thinking the same thing, and his father got the point.
"Lord Shiva wants to wear new clothes on your wedding day..." Arvind smiled.
"Not only that. He talked about HIS house also."
"His house?"
"Yes, he said your father promised me to build a new house..."
"Om Nama Shivaya... we should start the temple work quickly."
Arnav nodded.
"Then didn't he say anything?"
"What else do you want him to say?"
"He spoke about your wedding... didn't he bless you?"
"He said, 'Kasi Viswanath will be with me always.'"
"Thank the lord..."
"Appa, I have a suggestion..."
"What suggestion?"
"Why don't we name the Shiva Kasi Viswanath?"
Arvind's face brightened.
"Didn't you say he will choose his name? Yesterday, he appeared before me and said, 'Kasi Viswanath will be with me always.' I'm going to be in this village, and we are going to raise a temple for Lord Shiva in this village..."
"You are right. I think to tell us his wish, and to give his blessings, only he came yesterday..."
Arnav nodded.
"I too think the same..."
"Arnav, don't tell anyone about this."
"Yes, no one will trust me if I say I met Lord Shiva..." he chuckled.
"Not only that. People will think beyond our imagination."
"I didn't get you..."
"Your meeting with the Lord is divine and unbelievable, too. Not everyone deserves to know about it"
"I hope Khushi will not come in that list..." Arnav chuckled.
"Certainly not..." Arvind smiled.
"Ok, Appa. And I would like to take over the Temple work."
"That's great. This is your property. Do whatever you want. You can take any decision not only about the temple but about anything."
"Thank you, Appa..."
"It's my pleasure. And, I'm going to the court to surrender the Murthy brothers today. Are you coming to the court with me?"
"Of course... I will come."
"Ok, then, get ready..."
Arnav nodded and went to his room. He took a quick shower and came out fully ready. He came to Khushi's room. Before going to the court, he wanted to tell her about his meeting with Lord Shiva. Khushi saw him and smiled.
"Hi, Bride..." he nagged her with his elbow.
She smiled with a slight blush.
"I have a doubt..."
"What?"
"Would the girls start to blush only after their wedding fixes?"
Khushi again blushed.
"We are going to the court."
"Be careful..."
Arnav nodded.
"I want to tell you something."
"What?"
"We found a name for the Shiva linga"
"Did you find it? How?"
"Not me, but the lord himself chose one"
Khushi looked at him, perplexed.
"Did he come in your dream? Or, did you meet him?"
"Mmm... last night... near the cemetery..."
"Cemetery? Arnav sir, why did you go there at night? You are a..." before she said anything, Arnav closed her mouth with his palm and said,
"I know... I'm a groom. I should not go to the cemetery, nor should I roam at night hours... right?" he removed his palm smilingly.
"You know everything... yet..." She stopped and looked at him thoughtfully.
Arnav smiled as he understood she got it.
"I heard the same advice many times..."
"Many times? Who advised you?"
"Someone who was in the form of Kasi... then, real Kasi and my father..."
"Did you meet someone who was in the form of Kasi?"
Arnav nodded.
"Again?"
"Mmm..." he smiled.
In no time, Khushi hugged him, making him perplexed.
"What a man you are! People like me are dying to get Shiva Temple's Prasad while you are meeting him in person...!"
Arnav embraced her smilingly. Khushi looked at him, raising her head.
"What did he say? Did he say anything like he said last time?"
Arnav said that he had a conversation with the Lord.
"Oh... so, he is Kasi Viswanth...?"
Arnav nodded.
"I'm glad that you took over the temple work..."
"Me too..."
"You are a divine soul, Arnav sir. That's why you are getting a great chance in your life. I think this is why you are in this village"
"Means?
"To build a temple..."
"Do you think so?"
"It's not a simple thing to build a temple, Arnav sir. We believe it will bring blessings to our generations. That's why people will contribute to temples what they can."
"Mmm... I thought I was in the village to get my long-term love... but you are talking like I don't have one..."
"Haan... that's also one of the reasons..."
"Thank God, you accepted it. I took the temple responsibility not because I'm a devotee. It's because I want to lessen my father's burden..."
"The son who bothers about his father's burden is the best. That's why Lord himself is running towards you..."
"Is it?"
"Yes... You don't have to be a devotee... You don't have to visit temples... respect your parents and protect them when they become old..."
"I'm just doing what I can. It's a simple thing... after all..."
"But, many children don't do the simple thing. They forget their duty of protecting the people who raised them..."
"Mmmm... ok. I'm going to the town. What do you want? Tell me, I will bring it for you."
"I'm going to get what I waited for births... It's enough for me..."
Arnav rolled his eyes and shook his head from left to right.
"Bye..." He kissed her forehead and left the place, having already decided what to bring her.
To be continued...
