8 Marriage Plan
Part 8 Marriage Plan
Arnav gulped seeing the girl, lying on the bed. Is he going to marry this girl? Without thinking anything, he readily agreed to marry a girl who is going to die. So then, he could marry Chutki after that. Though he had not had belief in those rituals and horoscope stuff he agreed to it because he wanted to keep his promise by marrying Chutki. He just wanted to fulfill his grandfather's wish. His only motto right now is marrying Chutki.
He thought the death of the girl won't affect him because she would be a stranger. But... he didn't expect he would marry the same girl who he saw in the market... who he wanted to be his Chutki... Is she going to die? He felt a tug in his heart. He felt bad for the girl who he didn't know anything about. Arnav bent down and looked at the pad which was hanging in her bed. He wanted to know her name, so he lifted the report pad to read her name. But... for his disappointment, the pad was empty. A woman in the late forties was standing at the corner of the room crying. She should be her mother...Arnav concluded.
"What's her name?" Arnav asked the lady.
"Sorry beta... You don't have to know her name. This marriage is happening just for a formality. Just forget her here itself." The woman said crying.
Arnav gulped hard. What a damn life is this? He is going to get married to a girl with whom he doesn't even know the name.
"What happened to her?" Arnav asked couldn't hold himself.
"She fell down from the ladder and got hit on her back head. That's all... no movement in her body. She is a brain dead patient now." The lady cried.
Arnav swallowed the hard thing which blocked his throat.
"She liked to donate her organs... but I never know it will happen very soon..." The lady cried.
Subhadra was silently reading Arnav's expression whereas Ratna was bomb shelled, seeing Arnav so emotional. The Pandit entered the room. After getting Subhadra's order, he started chanting hymns.
Arnav was asked to tie Mangal sutra in her neck. Before tied the mangal sutra, Arnav lowered the oxygen mask which was hiding her face. He tied the mangal sutra, looking at her innocent face. Pandit extended the vermillion box. Arnav took it a little heavy and filled it in her partition. He was analyzing her face as she looked so naïve. A mole on her right cheekbone captivated his mind. He touched her cheek painfully. She is his WIFE now... no matter what. He couldn't bear the pain when he thought about her death.
"Let's go Arnav..." Dadi called him.
"Haan Beta... don't lose your mind. She is going to be alive only for a few hours more..." The woman who was in her mother's position said.
Arnav closed his eyes dreadfully.
Ratna touched his shoulder and gestured him to come. Arnav left the place with a heavy heart, looking at her again and again as his heart ached. They came out of the room and passed half of the corridor.
Arnav rushed to the room again. Kamini looked at Subhadra and she blinked her eyes, gesturing her to be calm.
He stood for a while looking at Khushi. She won't be in this world tomorrow... Her body is going to be splitting up in a few minutes... But she is going to give lives for a few people... he supposed. Don't know why he couldn't leave the place. Removing his pen, he wrote "A" in her palm...he doesn't know why. He himself wondered about his action. He couldn't believe a girl who is not Chutki could arrest his mind so quickly. He left the place hurriedly don't want to get weaker.
The nurse who was in the room checked her palm and smiled painfully.
Subhadra gestured Kamini something through her eyes and Kamini nodded ok understanding her gesture.
They came out of the hospital.
"I'm going to meet my friend Aman." Arnav said.
"Will you be late?" Ratna asked.
"I will call you if I'm late." Arnav answered.
"Ok..." Ratna said.
Arnav left the hospital to meet his friend Aman who studied with him at oxford university on scholarship.
"Chotte is upset..." Arvind said.
"Yes," Ratna said.
"My mind is also not peaceful... I'm going to the temple. You guys go home." Subhadra said.
"Ok, I will drop you..." Arvind said.
"No need... you go. I will take a cab."
"We will go by cab. You take the car." Ratna said.
Subhadra nodded yes and left the hospital. Arvind and Ratna went, taking a cab. After five minutes of the ride, Subhadra ordered the driver to go back to the hospital. Taking a "U" turn, the driver headed to the car. Subhadra wanted to instruct Kamini about what should be done. So she directed Arvind and Ratna home, giving them an excuse of going to the temple.
Subhadra saw Kamini waiting for her in the same room.
"What Arnav did when he came to the room?" Subhadra asked the nurse.
"He just stared at her." The nurse lied.
"When will she wake up?" asked Subhadra.
"In one hour... you only asked me to give the chloroform in the less quantity," Kamini said.
"Because we will get caught if it takes time because Garima may call her in between..."
"Don't worry, we will send her back as she was."
"Before she wakes up, take her to the nearby hospital to the place from where we brought her. She shouldn't have any idea about us and your hospital. Even though Arnav meets her in the future he should not get any details from her. He should think she is not the same girl he married." Subhadra said.
"Is it necessary to do such drama?" Kamini asked.
"What to do? I have no other choice to fulfill my husband's wish. He is torturing me, coming in my dreams. Arvind also said the same." She said irritatingly.
"Won't he come to your dreams again and ask you to bring her to RM?" Kamini asked mockingly.
"He wanted Chotte to get married to her... that's what he asked for... not more than that. I just did what he wanted. And my son changed his side. For the first time, he opposed me... I can't lose his support." She said furiously.
"But what will you say if Arnav asks about Chutki? Didn't you say he asked for their address?" Kamini asked her doubt.
"Another drama is going to be performed... simple..." Subhadra smiled devilishly.
"But you could have told him that this girl is Chutki and she is going to die... everything would be finished here itself..." Kamini asked.
"What do you think of Arnav? Is he dumb? He will definitely ask about Garima... we can do nothing and we can't give any excuses to Arnav... and most importantly, if he believed, he will not come out of the grief of Chutki's death and will leave India forever... such a stubborn head... just like his grandfather..."
Kamini nodded yes.
"Send this girl to a small clinic. Create a scene like, she fainted and someone admitted her in there." Subhadra instructed.
Kamini nodded ok. A nurse wiped Khushi's partition with a spirit solution to clean the vermillion. But she didn't wipe the initial "A" from her palm... don't know why. And then she removed the mangal sutra from Khushi's neck. Covering her by a white bed sheet, they took her to a small clinic. It was Kamini's friend's clinic. So they arranged everything clearly.
Yes, they brought Khushi to the hospital, making her smell the chloroform.
....
Arnav was driving the car thinking about his WIFE who is going to die in a few hours. He couldn't wipe her memories off. He didn't know he will get married to her when he saw her in the market area. He doesn't know why he felt different when he saw her.
He stopped the car in front of a small house. Hearing Arnav's car sound, a guy in the middle twenties peeped out. He smiled at Arnav. He must be Arnav's friend Aman.
"Hi, buddy..." He greeted Arnav.
"Hi, Aman..." Arnav responded but the briskness which always dominates Arnav's voice was missing and Aman noticed it.
"Are you alright, ASR?"
Arnav smiled. He knew only Aman could find his mind seeing his face or hearing his tone.
"Any problem?"
Arnav sighed and told him what he just did. Aman's shock was not estimated.
"What the hell... You believed the horoscope stuff?" Aman couldn't believe it.
"I didn't believe... but I had no choice... because I have to marry Chutki... I want to keep the promise... my grandfather's words are important to me. And... I want Chutki."
"But... you always say about your Dadi's Royal attitude. What if she plays a game in this matter?" Aman asked that to make Arnav think about it.
"Do you think I didn't think about it? Don't I know my Dadi? If she plays with me in CHUTKI's matter, she will see who really Arnav Singh Raizada is." Arnav said wrathfully.
"What could you do after marrying a girl?"
"I have discussed it with a lawyer. It will consider marriage only if it happened with the acceptance of both the Bride and Groom."
"Ohh..."
"My Dadi will do nothing if I divorce the girl... But I really feel bad for the girl I married. She looked so innocent... poor girl..."
This is the first time Arnav was talking about someone other than Chutki which made Aman wonder. Maybe, it's because she is going to die.
"Did you meet Chutki?" Aman asked.
"She is not in Delhi. They shifted to Lucknow."
"Whaatt.... When did it happen? Why did they go there?"
"Their relatives are there... so they went there it seems..."
"Don't you want to meet her?"
"Dadi will give me their address today. We will get to know today how much my Dadi keeps her words."
"Ohh... will you go to Lucknow?"
"Of course... I will go..."
"Ok... I will also come with you."
"Yup..."
"I will say how much you remembered her in these days..." Aman teased.
Arnav smiled.
"I will let you know when we will go to Lucknow."
"Sure... "
Arnav and Aman's discussed joining in AR too.
In the meanwhile
Khushi opened her eyes, feeling heaviness in her head. She saw herself in the hospital and panicked.
"How did I come here?" She asked in a high tone.
"Someone admitted you because you fainted." The doctor told.
"Me....? Fainted? I can't believe this..."
"It happens sometimes..."
Khushi pressed her head...
"Hey Bhagwan... my head...."
"Didn't I say you fainted?" The Doctor made her believe her words.
Khushi nodded yes and looked at her palm where the initial "A" has been written.

Another Drama
Khushi looked at her palm and got stuck. What's this? Who wrote "A" in her palm? She saw a small girl standing beside the doctor. She must be the daughter of the doctor. There was a pen in her hand.
Showing her palm, Khushi asked the small girl through gesture.
"What is this?"
The little girl answered smilingly,
"A", She said, thinking that, Khushi is testing her.
