Why do people wish? What's so fascinating about it?

People wished because they saw a shooting star, because they threw a coin in a well, because they lost an eyelash and blew it away. They made up excuses to wish for something, anything.

It was only normal for people to do so. They wished. Everyone whished for something.

If a genie were to appear in front of you, what would you wish for?

Most people wish for the same material, superficial things. Like money, fame, expensive clothes. A big house, a nice car, a lot of friends. They want to be better, well, their image of better. But sometimes you don't need money, beauty or anything like that in life. Not if you understood what life should be all about.

If you really thought about your wishes you wouldn't mention any of these things. Not really. What is really important in life? What do people really want? Love, they need it. It's a basic human need, not only human - it is a basic need. The love of a mother who gave birth to you, who helped you learn to walk, to speak, who watched you grow into someone independent.

The love of a father who showed you your way, who would protect you from any monster under your bed. The love of other people, the ones around you, friends, family. The love, appreciation - something that builds up the confidence of people. They need that.

Would you wish for health? Probably. Because who doesn't want a long and healthy life, free from illness? But how about you also have a little luck? Luck is always good to have. What about freedom? Happiness? Passion? There are so many things people could wish for.

Kim Taehyung's only wish had always ever been to be normal. To just be like everybody else. He wanted to eat normal, to be able to go out with friends, to be independent. To be able to do the things that are natural for others but almost impossible for him. He wanted to live without constant fear, constant anxiety, constant stress. Taehyung wanted to have normal skin, to not wake up in the middle of the night to find the sheets attached to the bloody wounds that ripped open again. He wanted to go swimming in the sea with his family without having to leave after a few minutes because the stinging of the salt in his wounds got to strong.

He wanted to eat like everyone else, he wanted to not be ashamed of himself. Wanted to be treated normal and not carefully just because he didn't really eat anything or seemed way to shy. Wanted to be able to go over to his friends house and not feel out of place or awkward or ashamed because he couldn't eat with his friends.

Taehyung wanted to be normal, to be happy. Taehyung wished for all that but it wasn't what he found in the end.

All Min Yoongi ever wished to have was a place to call home. To feel at home somewhere. Something he never had before. His life was never easy. He wished for a lot of things. He wished that he didn't suffer from depression, that he would be rid of his suicidal thoughts, to be happy. He wished to not feel so misplaced anymore. Because nothing ever felt like he belonged there.

Yoongi wished he could speak the words that haunted his mind. Wished he could tell his feelings out loud. He wanted to thank people without feeling awkward, he wanted to be confident in his own opinion, wanted to show people how much they mean to him.

Min Yoongi wished to be independent. Having to rely on others, not being able to support himself alone, having to depend on his parents, his friends - Just being unable to stand on his own two feet, that was a nightmare.

Yoongi wished for a calm life, without surprises. A happy life. But in the end he got quite the opposite and it was better than what he could have ever wished for.

Summer

It was late in the evening when Yoongi and Taehyung finally layed down in their makeshift bed. (It was simply the matress thrown on the floor because the bed frame wasn't set up yet.) The day was exhausting, filled with a lot of tears on their families and on Taehyungs side, a lot of pizza with their friends and fucking carrying everything up in the fucking second story. Yoongi was sure his spine will never ever stop hurting.

Even now, with his incredibly comfortable matress he just couldn't find a position that was at least a little bearable. He kept moving around and around, something that often bugged Taehyung who was holding him in his arms but the younger seemed to be already blacked out. The day had been exhausting after all. Taehyung could easily fall asleep anywhere.

And even when Yoongi was also known for this habit - it was only because his sleepy-tired phase never hit when he wanted to sleep. When he was in bed he kept tossing and turning around wide awake and the next day he would literally sit on the floor and then fall asleep in the matter of seconds.

Yoongi just quit trying to find the positin and remained laying on his back, Taehyungs arm curled around his neck and the other sprawled over his torso pulling him closer. His fingers brushed the barely visible skin of Yoongis abdomen but it emitted a burning heat. Their legs were tangled under the thin sheets, Taehyungs right one would twitch occasionally, his nails scratching barely at Yoongis skin.

With a sigh he gazed at the clock next to them on the floor. The digital red numbers showing 00.07. He turned away again, it would be another long night. When his gaze found the ceiling a faint smile stole itself on his lips. Even though they barely got anything unpacked (the living room was still full of boxes, only the most necassary things like pillows, a blanket, bathroom things and a few glasses for drinks were unpacked) Taehyung still managed to somehow find the pack of glow in the dark stars in the various boxes with his name on it.

Yoongi only noticed them now. Shining from the ceiling above them and he subconsciously pulled Taehyung closer to his body. His head rested right under the youngers chin and he could hear his heart thumping against his ribcage. The sound was soothing and earlier than Yoongi would have guessed his eyelids dropped more and more. He felt the sleep creeping in and he almost drifted of to the darkness when suddenly someone spoke right into his ear.

He immediatly jolted up from his almost sleep and nearly hit Taehyung in the chin. The youngers voice was rough, probably from sleep and crying, it was a low rumble in the dark. "Hyung?" He asked cautiously.

Yoongi hummed as an aswer and dropped his head again on the others chest. "You're awake." Taehyung observed and pulled a sleepy low chuckle from the older. "Well, duh," Yoongi rasped. God, his voice always got so sore in the night, he coughed a few times.

"Are you okay?"

Taehyung kept quiet, his arms around Yoongi only tightened. He hid his face in the others hair, whining low in his throat. "Tae..." Yoongi crooned and tried to get out of the others grasp(failing miserably). "What's up?"

"I'm just... it's - it's stupid, really..." He sighed and buried his face again against the others neck.

"Tae..." Yoongi whispered. "Tae... just tell me, it's not stupid, I'm sure..."

"You don't even know what I was about to say..." He whined and held the other tighter. Yoongi gasped a little, trying to loose the others arms a bit. "Don't suffocate me."

"M'Sorry..." Taehyung whispered but didn't let go. "I had a nightmare..." He said and Yoongi could barely understand him. Words muffled and whispered against the sensitive skin of his neck."I'm scared."

"Because of the nightmare?" Yoongi asked, one hand drawing lazy circles on the back of Taehyungs neck, skin tickling under the short hairs at his nape.

"No..." Taehyung whined. "I'm scared of everything here... this, all of this. How are we gonna survive here? All on our own?" He asked and sat up, leaving Yoongi tumbling into the thousand pillows Taehyung insisted on having. They smelled like him.

"We're not on our own." Yoongi muffled into the pillows, inhaling Taehyungs scent in the progress. When the younger sat up the blanket fell off and his feet were starting to get cold. "You have me and I have you. We have our friends all here. It's gonna be okay. You'll work for Seokjin and I got my old little job at the studio back, we'll be able to pay our rent. We're able to go to university. We'll be independent and we'll be alright, okay? Of course it won't be easy but honestly, when is anything easy? You - We've been through a lot of hard times and we're still here."

Taehyung just continued pouting, hugging a pillow closer to his chest. "But... But what if I can't do this? What if I can't be independent? Can't function as a proper adult? What if I want to stay a kid forever?"

Yoongi sat up too, shoulder bumping against Taehyung. The younger stared off into the dark, biting on his bottom lip. He always did that when the anxiety and stress inside of him build up until it would be released as a panic attack. He knew Taehyung didn't like being touched when he was close to panic, he only liked it when he initiated it himself. Yoongi fought against the urge to hug the younger. He looked too vulnerable in the semi darkness of the room.

Yoongi sighed and leant his head back, staring at the stars. "Namjoon would say a lot of philosophical shit now but I'm not him so... You can't go back to your childhood. It's impossible. But you'll grow and if you're able to stay a kid in heart you're gonna end up happy somewhere."

Taehyung let himself fall back to bed, pulling the cover over his head again. The only answer to Yoongi was the long sigh he gave.

Yoongi waited a few seconds but when nothing else happened he also layed down again. Careful to keep his distance from the younger to not irritate him. Now he was wide awake, worrying about his boyfriend. He didn't want him to be stressed out about this but he knew how easy Taehyung fell back into old habits. Knew how easy it was for his thoughts to go on a downward spiral. Yoongi just wanted to help him, to make him smile and not frown.

It took a few minutes until Taehyung moved again. Yoongi felt his breath at the back of his neck, his warmth behind him. "Are you sleeping?" The younger asked carefully, a whisper that tickled Yoongi.

"I'm not," he replied, turning around so they were face to face. "What do you want?"

Taehyung was still biting his lip, avoiding Yoongis stare. "Are you gonna get up?"

A smile spread over the olders face and relief as Taehyung lifted the corners of his mouth as well. "It must be a very good reason."

"I'm hungry."

Yoongi only thought about it for a few seconds. The nervous look in Taehyungs eyes was what convinced him in the end. He got up and pulled the younger along with him. "Get your coat on and bring a few blankets, maybe a towel too."

Taehyung stared at him confused, mouth hanging a litte open. "Okay..." He said slowly, still staring suspiciously at Yoongi. "What the hell are we doing?"

-

The greasy smell of cheap fast food was in the air of the car, random music coming quietly from the speakers while the city lights flashed outside of the windows. Taehyung sat with his feet up in the seat next to Yoongi, the older driving the car and sipping on a soda.

"Fry?" Taehyung asked, shoving the McDonalds bag under Yoongis nose.

"Nah, it's the middle of the night, I'm not hungry." Taehyung just shrugged. "More for me."

They drove for another few minutes in a comfortable silence, Taehyung wrapped up in his blanket, chewing on his fries and gaze trapped outside of the window. Yoongi couldn't help but let his own eyes travel every other second to the younger. Hopefully this would take his mind off the things that worried him so much. Things that aren't even happening yet.

When they finally left Seoul Taehyung turned his head to Yoongi again, eyes already droopy because of his tiredness but the spark in them seemed more awake than anything else right now. "Where are we even going?"

Yoongi smiled, looking at him from the corner of his eye. "The sea," he answered.

"What?!" All tiredness suddenly gone from his face, a fry hanging from his opened mouth.

Yoongi really wished he could take a picture of him now. Because right now, Taehyung looked too pretty to be real. Streetlamps flashing through the windows, painting his skin, dark circles under his eyes, hair standing up and blanket pulled up to his chin. He felt his heart speed up again. Taehyung did things to him he never imagined experiencing. "We're gonna watch the sunrise," he said, smiling at the awestruck expression on Taehyungs face. "Now give me some of your fries!"

"Suddenly hungry?" Taehyung chuckled but gave Yoongi the paper bag.

-

"Tae..." Yoongi whispered, gently shaking Taehyungs shoulder. The other scrunched his nose in the most adorable way, his eyes slowly blinking open and focusing on the things around him.

"Where are we?" He asked, his voice rough and so much deeper due to the sleep and Yoongi felt a strange tugging in the pit of his stomach. He loved that voice.

"The sea. We're here. Come on, the sun is about to rise."

Yoongi was already out of the car, waiting for Taehyung to finally get up, the sky was turning lighter already. "Come on, come on." He rushed the younger.

They were parked right in front of the beach, only about twenty meters seperated them from the waves calmy rolling onto the sand. Yoongi took a deep breath, the taste of salt manifesting itself on his tongue. He always loved the sea, always thought it had something close to melancholy to it.

The sound of the waves, the smell of salt and the feeling of the wind on his skin - all of that almost made tears appear in his eyes. But he bit his lip and when Taehyung finally joined him, blanket still hanging from his shoulders, a smile settled on his lips.

"Come sit," he whispered, motioning for Taehyung to follow his example. Climbing on the hood of his car in the earliest hours of the morning after driving for roughly three hours, greasy fries sitting in the pit of his stomach and Taehyung next to him at a beach, was one scenario he never thought would be happening. But here he was. Doing exactly that.

It was summer but it was also around four o'clock in thr morning, the wind was still pretty cool. Neither of them talked while the pitch black sky over them slowly turned lighter, while they watched the light illuminating the water in front of them. The waves sparkled as they rolled on the beach, it almost felt like a surreal experience - like magic, as cheesy as it might sound.

"It's beautiful," Taehyung whispered, not taking his eyes off the sunrise. Yoongi smiled slightly.

"Yeah, it is," he answerd, eyes not longer on the ocean.

"Hyung!" Taehyung whined and lightly hit the other, chuckles spilling over his lips. "Are you allergic to romance or what? You're supposed to say 'Not as beautiful as you.'"

Yoongi joined in on the laughter, leaning into his boyfriends side, feeling his warmth against him. "I thought I didn't have to remind you how beautiful you are..."

Taehyung made a sound close to a squeal or a dying whale and for Yoongi is was one of the most adorable noises in the world but before he could admire the other more, he suddenly tasted sand on his tongue. He stared up at Taehyung in shock, the other hid his laughter behind his hand.

"Did-did you just push me?" He asked in a disbelieving tone. Taehyung didn't answer, just jumped down the hood himself.

"Race you to the water." He said, competitive smile on his lips.

Yoongi never thought that he would be childish, that he would go swimming at ass o'clock in the morning with Kim Taehyung but here he was again. Doing what he never deemed possible. But with Taehyung it all seemed possible now, after all he also thought that he would never live to reach the age of twenty five.

Taehyung was a few steps ahead, shirt already pulled over his head and struggeling to get his pants off while running. The sand was cold beneath Yoongis feet but he didn't even feel it. Taehyungs skin seemed to glow in the early morning sun and the older couldn't surpress the laughter that bubbled up in his chest as the younger landed face first in the sand. Pants trapped at his ankles. He saw his chance and quickly raced past Taehyung, already rid of his clothes.

Yoongi was the first at the water, he ran in until it reached past his knees. Thinking back now that wasn't the smartest idea he ever had. The water was ice fucking cold. He barely suffocated the almost scream that threatened to spill over his lips.

He stood frozen in the water until Taehyung arrived behind him. Sprinting towards him in full speed, before Yoongi could even move a muscle the other had crashed into him, sending them both under the surface of the icy water.

"Oh god!" He shrieked as he finally came back up. Taehyung was laughing a little further in the water. He seemed to not mind the cold temperature.

"You just have to move hyung," he laughed.

"Oh, I show you moving," Yoongi yelled and swam after him, cold long forgotten.

Yoongi noticed Taehyungs behavior instantly. The younger tried to hide the pained expression on his face but Yoongi saw through it easily. He knew how to read his boyfriend perfectly. The sun was shining on them for quite a while now, making the water around them sparkle in the most beautiful way.

"It's okay if you can't anymore," he said while swimming over to him. Taehyung just bit his lip in frustration.

"But we have so much fun..." He trailed off and turned away from Yoongi, gaze directed at the horizon.

Yoongi sighed while wrapping his arms around his boyfriend, laying his head on his shoulder. He smelled fresh, like a summer day mixed with the saltiness of the sea. "I see that it hurts, come on. I saw a shower at the edge of the beach. It's okay. Don't worry."

Taehyung didn't move for a few seconds and Yoongi didn't push him, not physically and not with words. Finally the younger sighed in defeat. "It really hurts," he whispered.

"Come on," Yoongi said and pulled him carefully to the edge of the water. As soon as they were on the sand they startred running. Taehyung was hissing and rubbing at his arms. "Okay, it really hurts now!"

They ran and Yoongi barely avoided face planting in the sand like Taehyung did before. There really was a shower at the edge of the beach, he pushed Taehyung under it and observed as the younger franctically scrubbed over his skin. Trying to get rid of the salt in his wounds, he was biting his lip again. This time in pain.

"I'll get our clothes," Yoongi explained as he turned to leave. The sand already became a little warmer from the morning sun as he crossed the beach. As he walked slowly, feeling the warmth on his skin, the sand beneath his feet, he got finally hit with the tiredness. After all he didn't really sleep tonight, drove them from Seoul to the coast and went swimming. That was tiring and he couldn't wait to be back to the car and just sit in the seats until sleep would overwhelm him. Preferably with Taehyung by his side.

He picked up the clothes and as he looked around again, he spotted Taehyung already waiting by the car. Shivering a little but a huge smile on his face. Yoongi sighed again, he summoned his last powers and sprinted back to the car.

Panting he reached Taehyung, a smile on his lips. "Now I understand why you wanted to bring towels," he said, a towel already hanging from his shoulders. Yoongi just chuckled and dried off too.

They sat on the backseats, pressed together under a blanket, hair still dripping wet, chewing on cold and stale fries but it was still perfect. Yoongi leant even closer to Taehyung, if that was possible. He could feel the other laugh. Felt the rumble in his chest. "You're so cute."

"M'not cute..." Yoongi mumbled before drifting off to sleep, feeling content and extremely warm.

-

When Yoongi woke up to the sun shining right into his face, air around him heavy and thick while his whole body hurt from lying in such an uncomfortable position he was confused at first. Before he finally realized where he was and why he slept in the back of his car. His skin burned where Taehyung touched him, the seatbelt cutting painful into his side. Every bone inside of him cracked as he sat up, or tried to. His neck was stiff. It hurt like a bitch. He groaned and pushed Taehyung off him, effectively waking him up.

"Why would you do that?" Taehyung croaked. His voice was extremely sore, maybe that also had to do with the salty air and staying out in the cold water. Even though none of the coldness from the night was left now, it was burning hot in the car.

"What's the time?" Taehyung asked, rubbing his eyes while Yoongi opened the door only to realize that the air outside wasn't that much cooler than inside the vehicle.

The older searched for his phone and finally located it between the backseats. He turned it on only to be bombared with numerous texts and missed calls from his friends, most of them from Hoseok. There was a text from just two minutes ago.

"12pm. I'm gonna call Hoseok back real quick." Taehyung just groaned as a response and curled in on himself, pressing his face into the seat. Yoongi stepped out of his car, bare feet on the hot sand. The beach wasn't empty anymore, it was filled with people - not packed but definitely not empty anymore.

It took Hoseok about a second to answer the phone and about the same time to completely destroy Yoongis hearing. "Where the hell are you?! You just moved yesterday and now you're gone again?! Is this the same shit you pulled after high school?!"

He held the phone a little away from his face, massaging his head with his free hand. "Geez Hoseok. We're at the sea."

"What do you mean you're at the SEA?!" Hoseok screeched.

"I mean, I drove us to the sea in the middle of the night, we watched the sunrise, just got up and now I called..." He sighed, looking over his shoulder to check if Taehyung was still lying in the car. Just to be careful he walked a little further from the parked vehicle. "Tae felt anxious. I just wanted to take his mind off the things that worry him. We'll come back soon. Everything's alright, okay?"

He heard Hoseoks breathing over the line. "Did it work?"

"Yes."

"That's good. Then, have a safe drive back home."

Back home, Yoongi thought. He turned to look at Taehyung and a smile formed on his lips. Back home.

December

Half a year later they're still living in the small apartment, Taehyung still worked in Seokjins café, Yoongi co-produced a small single at the record studio he worked at and school went fine for both of them. Taehyung looked as lively as ever and Yoongi felt happier than ever before.

Taehyung came through the door, snowflakes in his hair and a smile on his face. Yoongi was lounging on the couch, watching cheesy k-dramas on the tv and eating reheated takeout food from last night.

"Hey!" Taehyung announced his arrival. "I got something for you."

Yoongi rolled onto his stomach and looked at the other. Noddles in his mouth. "Tae, it's not even Christmas yet," he stated, food almost falling out.

"It's not from me," the other smiled and plopped down next to him. "It's a letter. Here." He dropped the white envelope on Yoongis chest who just sighed as he took it. "Who the fuck even writes let... ters..." his voice faltered at the end, eyes wide as he stared at the sender of the letter.

He teared the envelope open, almost ripping the letter inside. Taehyung just sat and watched as Yoongis expression slowly morphed into anger. His cheeks turned red and there were tears glistening in his eyes.

"Yoongi...?" He carefully asked but the other didn't respond. Only when he read the written lines twice did he raise his head again, slamming the paper down on the coffee table in front of them.

"It's from him," he said, rubbing at his eyes angrily. "My brother... He - He, Tae, he thinks just one stupid fucking letter is going to fix everything?!"

Taehyung swallowed. He would have prepared Yoongi if he knew who wrote that letter. "What does it say?"

Yoongi sneered once again, pulling his legs up against his chest. A thing he always did when he felt uncomfortable. Subconsciously protecting himself. "A lot of things... I can't even be that mad... I could never be mad at him... Fuck - I - He wants to meet..." he trailed off, biting his lip again.

"Do it," Taehyung said, surprised at his own words.

Yoongi barked out a laugh. "I know I should... " he admitted. "But if this is gonna end up like all the last times I'm not gonna survive it... I know I won't be able to go through this again." His voice was weak, forehead now laying on top of his knees.

Taehyung didn't know what he should say. He wanted the best for Yoongi and if that meant being together with his brotger again then Taehyung would somehow make that happen. But what if it didnt? Taehyung couldn't know that. But he needed Yoongi to make that step, even if it could go the wrong way. "Tell him that. Tell him all that and if he's not willing to accept that..." he trailed off, implying what Yoongi knew.

"He's my brother..." Yoongi said more to himself than to Taehyung. "And I still love him, of course..." He stood up, eyes still unfocused as he made his way through the room. "I'm going to sleep, okay? I can't think right now." Taehyung just nodded.

Feburary

Yoongi felt warm, warm to the core and not because of the burning hot tea runnung down his thoat. No, he felt happy. He felt content and that alone could warm him in these colder months. Februray, the weather still stuck between ice cold snow and crippling rain but the sharpness of the weather outside didn't matter in here. Not in his apartment.

He smiled and his heartbeat sped up. Just a year ago he never would have thought that they would end up here. All seven of them together and happy.

It was a friday afternoon, their speacial friday. The third friday of the month and their gaming evening. All of them were gathered here, in their small living room. It was loud, there would soon be alcohol flowing (he was sure) and a fight would also ensure. Their gaming nights were never peaceful but it wasn't serious. They always laughed until the sun rose again behind the curtains.

Rain knocked like tiny fists against the windows, the rhythmically tock-tock created some kind of soft background noise in the room. There were Namjoon and Seokjin sitting tightly pressed next to each other on the sofa, the oldest had already his first bottle of alcohol in his left hand while he held the game controller with the other. Namjoon still sipped his cup of coffee. He was a lightweight and if he started drinking already this early in the evening he would be wasted by 8pm. And nobody wanted that, he talked enough shit while sober.

Jimin sat with Hoseok on the floor while his short fingers were tangled in the baby hairs at the back of Jungkooks head. The youngest seemed to didn't even notice this, too immersed in the game he and the other three were currently playing. Hoseok and Taehyung had also controllers in their hands. The four played already for over an hour and the cozy atmosphere from the beginning had changed into a messy fit of yelling, laughing, shrieking and slapping if someone was accused of cheating.

"Who the fuck is Princess Peach!?" Taehyung yelled and tried to avoid the shells thrown into his way.

The signature weird windshield laugh of Seokjin could be heard over the knocking of the rain. "Now that she's kicking your ass, Princess Peach isn't that lame anymore, right?!" Taehyung growled in annoyance when he almost got thrown of the road and Jungkook finally passed him. He shoved the younger roughly. "How dare you speed past you hyung, you brat?"

Jungkook just shoved him right back but also groaned in frustration when Hoseoks Joshi suddenly appeared out of nowhere and drove past the two of them.

"I fucking hate this game..." Taehyung laughed defeated and leant back against Yoongis legs. The older began stroking his hair unconsciously, twirling the locks around his fingers. He smiled fondly down at the other.

"You must have cheated." Jungkook mumbled and Hoseok nodded in agreement.

"What?!" Seokjin screeched and Namjoon - clumsy Namjoon! - barely saved the oldest beer from spilling on the floor. "You suckers just can't admit that you got your asses kicked by my fucking Princess Peach!"

"We played thirteen rounds!" Taehyung complained and threw his hands up in the air, Yoongi barely surpressed his chuckle when he heard the youngers esperated whiny tone. "How can you win all thirteen rounds? What kind of black magic do you use?!"

Seokjin just took another sip of his beer, looking extremely smug while doing so. "You're all just so so bad. It's fucking Mario Kart! How can you be so bad at Mario Kart? It's just a game. I'm awesome in every game."

Hoseok whispered something under his breath that suspiciously sounded like some vulgar expressions and it made Namjoon snort in his coffee. "Don't act so high now," Yoongi said towards the oldest, a smirk playing on his lips. "Don't you remeber the beer pong massacre of 2015?"
Seokjins smug expression fell in seconds and his face paled a little. "We do not speak of that day. It never happened."

Namjoon almost fell off the sofa laughing. "You wish!" He yelled through his giggles. "We have you on video!"

"What?" Jimin finally raised his voice in interest. "Why haven't I seen that before?"

"Why just you?" The other two on the floor argued. "We haven't seen it either. Why is that? Where is it? We have to see that!"

"No, no you don't!" Seokjin yelled half hearty but that didn't stop Namjoon from getting up and searching for his bag. "Namjoon, don't you dare!" But the other just chuckled, pulling his laptop out.

"I trusted you!" Seokjin yelled, feigning betrayal. "I thought we were friends! I fucking trusted you! You promised!"

"I didn't." He defended himself. "I said, I'll think about promising but I never actually did that."

They were arguing for a while, Seokjin not giving up on trying to stop Namjoon from showing the rest the embarrassing video. In a sudden moment of silence - Seokjin had finally accepted his fate and stopped fighting - a strange sound filled the warm air. Everyone's head whipped around when Taehyungs stomach decided to set all hell loose and released an almost animalistic growl.

Everybody stared with varying stages of horror shown on their faces at Taehyung. He also stared at his stomach, like he was scolding it for being so loud. And if it hadnt been creepy enough before, Taehyung suddenly released a growl from deep inside his throat.

"Did - Did you just growl back at your stomach?" Jimin asked, disbelief clear in his voice and that was all it took for chaos to ensure. Hoseok broke down laughing, Seokjin finally spilled his beer, Jimin almost folded in a half while laughing and hung off Jungkooks shoulder. Yoongi just sat there and stared, disbelief evident on his face.
"Why do I like you again?" He asked and tugged a little at the youngers hair, causing a laugh to fall from his lips.

"Because I'm irresistible. And you love me." He smiled that wide rectangular smile again, his eyes sparkling and Yoongis breath caught in his throat. The smile slipped from his lips and he found himself once again intrigued by Taehyungs sincere and honest beauty, his heart skipped against his ribcage.

He had always wished to find his home in this messed up world. But being with Taehyung made him realise wishes he never thought about before. Someone like Taehyung, someone who made him see the stars in the sky again, someone who thought that he was precious, someone who called him his favorite person. And at the same time, the younger was also someone who needed Yoongi and that was exactly the right thing for him. He needed something he could live for. Taehyung saved him and he saved the younger. Together they felt better.

And somehow he found his kind of home along the way.

Yoongi had always called Daegu his home but everytime those words spilled over his lips, they left a bitter taste behind. Yoongi loved Daegu but it wasn't his home, it was like in those stupid novels: a love-hate-relationship. Home was something else to him and most importantly, home wasn't a place, not for him. If he learned anything from watching disney movies with Taehyung then it was that every story had a happy end no matter how long it took and how hard some had to work. Every person had to find their neverland to call home. He found his neverland, his home and surprisingly it was everywhere... Because home was everywhere where Taehyung was. The younger was his home, his neverland, his safe haven, his everything. As cliché as it sounded. And Yoongi really wasn't one for all that fluffy sappy shit but this was the truth. Taehyung was the best that ever happened to him.

The best. He would soon live to have experienced his twenty sixth birthday because of him, Taehyung convinced him to meet his brother two months ago - it was a hard decision but worth it in the end -, Taehyung made him happy and he could not be more thankful.

Yoongi looked down again, eyes catching Taehyung's stare and he smiled, smiled so wide that his cheeks started to hurt.

Yes, he found home. Found home in a boxy smile, in sparkling brown eyes, soft hair and even softer skin. Maybe it wasn't always easy between them, they could fight, they weren't agreeing on everything and they were still mostly opposites but they made it work.

In the end they found each other and neither was willing to give up their home.

"I do love you." And if he could just look at Taehyungs smile for the rest of his life, Yoongi would die happy.

"Me too."

"Gross." The others laughed. But Yoongi ignored it, it didn't matter when Taehyung stared at him like that, like he was the only thing in the whole world and Yoongi knew that he made the right decision.

Not yet, but he knew that someday he would take the small velvet box out of its hiding place and present Taehyung the silver ring inside of it.

Finding his home was the journey to find himself, to find love. And Taehyung made everything bad that had happened worth it.
