12 Doubt
Part 12 Doubt
Arnav came to GH and stayed the whole day with Khushi, as it was her mother's death anniversary. Arnav learned that Khushi was not as strong as she had shown outside. She was pretending to be strong but was weak at heart. She cried, looking at her mother's photo, why at the time of the shrad. Shashi tried to console, but the effort went in vain.
Arnav felt helpless; he wanted to console her, but could do nothing in Shashi's presence. He waited for the right time.
As he expected, Shashi got a call. He attended it as it was from Sudhakar.
"Yeah, Sudhakar..."
"Our client wants to meet you..."
"Now?"
"Yes, after all, you are the main partner in our business."
"Ok.. I will come"
Shashi disconnected the call and looked at Khushi.
"Beta, I have to go. I'm very hungry. Shall I eat?"
Khushi nodded.
"You too eat with Arnav..."
She again nodded. Shashi looked at Arnav and said,
"Please, eat, Arnav. I have to go. Please don't mistake me. I haven't eaten anything since morning. That's why..."
"No, uncle... You carry on. We will eat."
Shashi devoured lunch and left.
"Aren't you going to eat anything?" Arnav asked Khushi.
She shook her head from left to right.
"Why? Aren't you hungry, or don't you have the mood to have lunch?"
She looked at him without answering, like, 'Don't you know my mood?'
"I know you are upset, but that does not mean you should be starving. If you can get your mother back by starving, let me know. I will also charge you to get my parents back."
She closed her eyes, letting her tears roll down. Arnav came unexpectedly next to her. In no time, he saw the link on his shoulder and cried.
"Relax, Khushi. We must understand that we can't regain people who left the world."
"I know we can't get them. That's why I am crying. I would not have cried if I could get them back, but I did the necessary things."
"We can change nothing by spilling tears..." Arnav tried to console her, but was stuck, hearing,
"Won't you cry if I die?"
Arnav gritted his teeth in anger. He lifted her by her shoulders and shouted,
"Why the hell are you talking like this, Khushi? Why? I don't want you to become weak. That's why I am trying to console you. Why don't you understand that?"
"I feel happy when you shout at me for this reason."
"Enough of crying. If you want to cry more, do it when I feed you. Now come with me..."
He pulled her to the dining table. He made her sit and started feeding her. She ate it, looking at him lovingly. She tried to feed him. Arnav flinched.
"Why?" He asked.
"Just feel like feeding you. Open your mouth..."
Arnav ate it.
"How does it feel?"
He smiled.
"Feeling good... Right?"
He nodded.
"That's why I fed you." She again fed him.
He ate it smilingly.
"You eat. I will eat later."
"No need... You too eat..." She continued feeding.
They finished eating together, feeding one another. Arnav waited with Khushi as he didn't want to leave her alone.
"Let's go to the college", Arnav said.
"I don't have a mood to go to college." She denied.
"Your mood will change if you go to college"
"My mood will change if you are with me..."
"You cried when I'm with you only..."
"We will cry only when we are with our beloved one," She answered, making him dumbfounded.
He smiled.
"Do you want to go to college?" She asked.
"No, I will be with you until uncle comes,"
"He shouldn't come..." She murmured, and he heard it.
"Don't you want to be with your father?"
"He won't be with me even though he is at home. He would do his work," she sighed.
"Everyone would be like that because work is important. We can give excuses to our family members, but businessmen because family members understand, but others."
"Oh, so, is being understanding a curse?"
Arnav was speechless.
"You guys give excuses to those who understand you. Is it a punishment for understanding you?"
"I surrendered..."Aranv raised his hands.
"Don't you dare think to be like that," She said.
Arnav nodded smilingly.
The next day
Arnav picked Khushi to the college as usual. He stopped the bike and walked with her. That was when he got a call. He saw the caller and his facial expression changed.
"One minute..." He walked a little aloof as he attended the call.
Though he went aloof, his voice was not so inaudible. Khushi could hear it. She listened to his talk, taking two steps close to him.
"Hi..."
"............."
"What happened?"
"................."
"Shhh... don't cry. I'm here for you. Do you trust me?"
Khushi felt a prick in her heart. She thought Arnav would utter those words ONLY for her. She didn't like it when he consoled someone with those words. She got closer and stood behind a tree to hear him.
"Anu... Anu listen... Arnav is there for you. Don't stress yourself. I will not let you feel low... ok?"
Khushi was more shocked knowing that the caller was a girl, named Anu.
"..........."
"Trust me, dear..."
Khushi widened her eyes. DEAR? Who the hell was she?
"Until Arnav is alive, you don't have to feel like that. Why are you saying you don't have anyone? Don't you have me? Don't I fight for you against the world?"
"........"
"If your trust for me is true, don't cry... ok? I will make everything right..."
"............."
"I will talk to your Dad..."
"........."
"Of course, I will... if I don't talk to him, who else would?"
"..........."
"He might get angry as this is about LOVE, but we have no choice. We have to talk to him about it however."
LOVE? What the hell he was talking? Who was Anu? Why did Arnav talk to her father about love? Khushi felt restless. Her heart drummed like hell.
"..........."
"That's my girl..."
"............."
"Ok, ok, I will come..."
"..........."
"Yeah, now..."
"........."
"It's ok, college is not important when it comes to you. I'm coming," He disconnected the call and looked at Khushi.
He gestured to her like, 'I will call you later' and rushed to his bike.
Starting it, he left the college. Khushi stood with a shock. She could not understand anything. She felt dizzy.
Dhruv who was expecting a chance to separate them for two years, saw the scene and got an idea. This was the best chance to separate them. He knew he would never get such a chance again.
He rushed to his gang and insisted them to follow his instructions. Khushi headed to her class with deep thought. She stopped hearing someone saying,
"Yes, I saw Arnav with a girl yesterday. They were close to each other..."
"But, the whole college is thinking that he was in love with Khushi..."
"Even I thought the same but after seeing him with a girl, I'm doubting. The girl Anu was so close to him,"
Khushi was shocked. Was Arnav close to Anu? Who was Anu?
"Are you sure, was that Arnav?"
"What the hell... don't I know Arnav? Do you know how happy he was with her? I had never seen him smiling like that. he never smiled like that with Khushi too..."
Khushi felt like crying. She didn't like anything. She went to her class all sad. She decided to ask Arnav about Anu the next day.
To be continued...
