Arnav was shocked to the core. Sona's husband? Was not his father the one? What a new confusion was this! Who was the man? Was that true or was framed to trap him?
"Mr. Raizada..." the inspector called him as he became silent.
"Haan, inspector..."
"We brought him to the police station but he is messing here..."
"Messing?"
"Yes, he is shouting for bringing him to the police station"
"Where is he from? Does he have any identification proof?"
"We are verifying, sir... will get to know about him soon"
"Shall I come and meet him?"
"You can come if you want to meet him"
"Yes, sir... I want to meet him. Please, get to know if he is really Sona's husband" Arnav said, looking at Ratna and Khushi who was also shocked, to hear that.
"Ok, sir"
Arnav disconnected the call and looked at them.
"What's this, Chotte?" Ratna asked.
"I don't know, Ma. The inspector said Sona's husband came to her house to meet her. The cops who guard the house arrested him. I don't know who is he"
"What kind of problem is this, Arnavji?"
"I think they are trying to confuse us," Ratna said.
"No Maji... I don't think so. They won't confuse us in THIS way. Their motive is to stop us from doing Pooja"
"Let me check. We will get to know something if I meet him" Arnav said.
"Are you going alone?" Ratna asked.
"No... I have arranged private security guards for our protection. They will be here anytime. I will take them with me"
"Are they liable?" Ratna asked worriedly.
"They are an award-winning security service in India. No one in position" Arnav assured.
Ratna sighed in relief.
Arnav was about to call the security service head, he got a call from the security head himself. Arnav attended the call.
"Hello,"
"Sir, our men reached your house. I have sent their list and identity proof to your mail. Do check it and sign the order, sir"
"Sure... thank you, sir"
Arnav disconnected the call.
"They arrived... let me check" he walked out.
Khushi saw Ratna thinking something.
"Maji, everything will be all right"
"Is this problem getting severe?"
"Yes, any problem would get severe in the END. That means this problem is going to end soon"
"I don't know what to say, Khushi"
"I too could not understand anything, Maji. The way Sona talked about Babuji that day scared me. If Babuji is not her husband, why did she have so much venom in her heart?"
"Let's Chotte meet the man. We have to know whether he speaks true"
Khushi nodded yes.
On the other side, Arnav checked the list of security guards and their identities and signed the order. They were twenty people with guns.
"I'm the crew head, sir... I'm Rajesh"
"Hello, Rajesh... I have to go to the police station," Arnav said.
"We will take you, sir"
Arnav nodded ok.
"Do you want to use your car or, will you be fine with our Jeep?" Rajesh asked.
"Anything will be fine"
"Let's go, sir"
Arnav walked with them. Six of them accompanied him with guns. The jeep came out of RM. Harsha and Harish who were watching RM in disguise saw Arnav going somewhere with guards. They got alert and decided to follow him. Giving enough space, they followed the jeep, without making the jeep people suspicious.
The jeep halted in front of the police station. They heard someone arguing with the inspector.
"You stay here," Arnav said and went inside.
He saw a man asking the inspector a reason for his arrest.
"How could you arrest me without any reason? What section? Who gave you the right to arrest me? Will you do anything just because you are the police? I won't get scared. The police station is not new to me... I had been in various jails for eighteen years..." he was trying to walk out, but two constables were blocking his way.
Seeing Arnav, the inspector came to him.
"He is the one, sir. His name is Paramveer. We verified his statements. He is not lying. He is from prison. He had been in jail for smuggling drugs. For his worst behavior in jail, his punishment period increased it seems"
Hearing their talks, the man said,
"Oh, for this man only did you arrest me? He should have given you money. Don't I know money can make anyone do anything..." Paramveer asked.
The inspector was about to say something, but Arnav took the lead,
"Sona worked at our house"
The man stopped talking and looked at him.
"Do you know where is she?" he asked plainly.
"I don't know. We are also searching for her and her family" Arnav said.
"Why are you searching for her? Did she steal something from your house?"
Arnav looked at his surroundings hesitatingly.
"Sir, let us talk alone... I won't run anywhere" Paramveer said.
The inspector looked at Arnav and said,
"Take him, sir"
"Thank you, inspector," Arnav said.
The inspector nodded ok and gestured to the constables to guard them. He didn't trust Paramveer. The constables followed them. Coming out of the police station, Paramveer looked at Arnav.
"Tell me, sir, what did she steal from your house?"
"She didn't steal anything but she said my father is the father of her twin children"
"Whaaaat? That bit** said so? How dare she address someone as a father of my children...!" he said wrathfully.
Arnav observed him keenly.
"She won't change... her whole family is like that, sir... they won't get satisfied with what they have. See, how shameless she is..."
"But why should she lie? Not only she but her daughters and sons are also furious with me because of my father"
"I could not understand anything, sir. Because of her, I got arrested for a mistake I had not done"
"What do you mean?"
"Yes, sir, it was her brother Deeraj who smuggled drugs. I didn't know about it. He asked me to give a parcel to someone. I was a taxi driver at that time. I agree with him because he asked me to give the parcel in my area. I got to know the parcel contained dangerous drugs when the police rounded me up. My brother-in-law simply said he didn't give it to me. My wife gave a statement against me to the police that I was the one who had smuggled it. I got a double life sentence as it was a drug case. At that time, it was a very severe case"
"The inspector said, you were in jail for eighteen years..."
"I lose my temper easily and get angry easily. I could not bear the betrayal of my wife and brother-in-law. Whenever I thought about them, I fought with other captives in the jail. So, my punishment period increased" he sighed.
"If you are the father of the children, why did they kill my father and mother? Why are they in full set to kill me now?"
"Sir, I was in jail for eighteen years. I don't know what happened this year. My other brother-in-law hinted to me about their family. I didn't take it seriously because I didn't expect the issue would be serious"
"You mean, Jai Kishan?"
"Yes...do you know him?"
"He is dead"

"Eighteen years ago... in an accident"

Paramveer squeezed his brain.

That was when a man came to them and gave them tea. Arnav denied it but Paramveer took a glass. The man left the place hurriedly.
"Does Sona have a sister?" Arnav asked his doubt.
"Of course, yes... they are non-identical twins"
"Who is she? What was her name?"
He was about to say her name but stopped. Arnav was perplexed, seeing a needle pricking on his larynx and blood oozing from it. Paramveer fell down to the ground, breaking the tea glass. He struggled to breathe. Within a few seconds, his breath stopped forever. He left his precious life, making Arnav horrified.
